I had to look up five of those languages to see where they're spoken!

Yeah, me too. Chaldean!?! Isn't that what Abraham (of the Old Testament) spoke before he got his call?

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I hope they pay better than a certain other large interpreting agency!

The agency that contracts with the immigration courts pays its interpreters only $10-12/hour. Since professional interpreters usually make about $35-40/hour (for common languages ... my last freelance job paid $70/hour), no decent interpreter will work for that agency ... you can imagine the quality of the interpreting that goes on in the immigration courts, then.

Lionbridge is reputable, I'm not saying "don't sign up," but know how much you're worth!

And also know that interpreting is *hard*. It's something you have to learn how to do, you can't just *do* it. I believe, though, that Lionbridge will train its interpreters.
