How is that a news story? The case isn't criminal, it's not case of injustice (Like being fined because you for example ovestayed a parking limit at a hospital while your relative undergoes some emergency surgery) and it's not particularly intersting. It's simply some greedy woman who intends to flout a perfectly reasonable law just because she can't be bothered to read the signs that are presumably entirely visible in the parking lot. Does she expect sympathy? If so, why?

you're starting to sound like a republican. :jest:

I've noticed, around where I live anyway, that nurses around here are all obese, you'd think they'd have a better idea...

I cant believe Natalie is my age, she makes me look 16...

My husband and I drove yesterday from OK to Jackson MS and the first thing we did before checking in was bought a bucket of 8piece KFC. I was SOOOO hungry but only finished 3.

14 chickens for 2 people?? wow. I would have puked already on the 4th, lol.

hmmmmm....well, she has a valid point..she was eating chicken ..and fined for aprking too long..it would seem either that place ahs allot of patrons and parking is cramped or they are tired of her munching away and hollering and she repeatedly has an organism from the taste of the chicken ...................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Well getting a $264 fine should be her "wake-up" call to stop eating there and start losing weight, count it as a warning to your health!

Woah that is way too much food for just two people. Goodness....they should have taken half of it home with them. That is outrageous for the fine though.....at the same time it would have made more since to eat half the portion that was consumed and take the rest home as leftovers. Sheesh.....some people....I could never eat that much at one setting!

I'm kinda torn on this one.

I'm trying to put aside my opinion of her eating habits and her weight. I mean, what if she was a thin person? Should it make a difference? When I first read the article, it reminded me of my friend whom I was talking with yesterday. He was, at one point, eating 7000-calories a day, but he was also training for swimming at the Olympics. :) (He also wouldn't be eating 1/2 of those calories at KFC, either ...)

I think if KFC has reasonably visible, permanent signs in their parking lot, then they are within their rights to enforce them. Ignorance of any rules (or laws) should not be a defense.

On the other hand, I've easily spent over 75 minutes at a restaurant (though not fast food) with friends and/or family enjoying a "night out". Of course, it can take almost 30 minutes just to sit down, order, and get the food.

Bottom line is if KFC made a reasonable effort to notify their customers of their parking rules, then their customers should abide by them or pay the consequences.

She paid her meal (even though she should seriously cut down on her calories intake -especially as a nurse-!), she should have been able to finish her meal there.

And I am sure KFC had plenty of open parking spaces available. KFC is pulling teeth there! And probably shouldn't as she is such a repeat customer!

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.

It's completely possible that as this is a franchise outlet, the parking lot is not either owned or managed by KFC but rather a parking company. As such, any parking infringements are nothing to do with KFC.

I still don't care about this story or this woman though. It quite clearly states in the story that there were signs warning of parking policy and that the woman chose to ignore them is her look out, not the KFC franchise.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .
