06/26/09 - Letter saying case transfered to Cali.

08/08/09 - Residence Card in Mail! Yuuupiiiiiii.

Got engaged - July, 18 2008

Sent application (VT)- August, 22 2008

Package received- August, 25 2008

Check cleared - August, 28 2008

Recieved NOA1 - August, 30 2008

Nov-15 traveled to Pakistan to spend time with Irum

Jan-4 arrived back in USA after spend 7 weeks with Irum.

Jan-25 got approved notice online.

Jan-28 received NOA2 in mail.

Jan-29 NVC received

Jan-29 NVC Sent (wow that was quick)

Feb-04 Letter recieved from NVC.

Feb-05 State department confirmed over the phone that the packet 3 has been posted.

Feb-06 recieved packet 3 by mail today.

Feb-27 Packet 3 sent back to Islamabad embassy.

Mar-9 Recieved the interview date letter.

Mar-30 Interviewed and got the Visa (waiting on the passport)

April-2 Got the physical passport

April-16 Entered USA

My Fiancee received her appointment date, packet 3, medical exam info and affidavit of support on the same day. Is this typical? They haven't sent me any affidavit of support or information about paying any bills and I'm going to be supporting her. Was this your experience? Do I need to send her an affidavit of support from the internet or can I bring it to the interview since we already have the appointment date?

(They wanted him to redo medical exam- they must've lost it. They also wanted a copy of our marriage certificate, even though we included that in our original submission.)

07/03/09- Medical exam (second one this year grrr!)

07/06/09- I-485 RFE response mailed back to CSC via USPS

07/08/09- I-485 RFE response package delivered at CSC

07/10/09- I-485 Case Processing Resumed (CRIS email)

07/16/09- I-485 Card Production Ordered

Hello everyone!! I am new here, and am also an Aug '08 VSC filer. I have been with my fiance, who is currently waiting in Iran, for 2 1/2 years (even though we've only been "together" for about 2 months).

I just got my approval email two nights ago after 7 1/2 mos of waiting!!!

from everyone's experience here, about how long does it take from the point when the application is approved to when we find out the date of our embassy interview?

Anyone else here filing for an Iranian fiance??

I wish i had known about this site a long time ago, Ive been going crazy without any information or other people to talk to who are going through the same thing! Better late than never I suppose ;)

I haven't seen my love in almost 8 mos, what do you guys do to pass the time and keep from being horrible depressed??

Ok, let's do this all over again as I accidentally closed the window before clicking the 'add reply' button, hahaha.

Congrats on all the good things mentioned in the past few days - a new baby, wedding, birthday, approvals and visas. :)

Nothing new here - I'm preparing for the medical (Monday next week), which means gathering some documents, such as vaccination records and the like. I hope I won't need any extra ones. I also need to get some more stuff for the interview. Police records and whatnot.

Besides that - studying, studying, studying, since I won't be going anywhere without my degree.

I-129F Sent: Aug 20th 2008

Interview Date: April 8th 2009, 10:30 - APPROVED!

K-1 Visa Received: April 9th 2009

POE: Aug 8th 2009, Minneapolis

Wedding: Aug 28th 2009

Our case spent 52 days being chewed by NVC.

Hi, my fiance is from Chile and things in the Peruvian embassy are done similar. I imagine you are the petitioner, so yes it is comon that they get that info with a cover letter saying all that you need to bring to the interview. She has to gather some docs. and bring them to the interview and some others she has to send to the embassy before the interview. They didn't send her an affidavit of support form?. If you are going to be there for the interview then bring the affidavit with you!. Here on VJ is all the info on how to fill the forms (Click Example Forms) and if you got more questions I am here to help.

March 30th - received SSN

April 25th - Married

April 27th - Changed name on SSN

May 12th - AOS paperwork sent

Aug 20th - Interview in Philly

Aug 21st - GC production ordered

Aug 24th - Welcome to the USA letter received

Aug 31st - Rec'd son's GC

Sept 2nd - Rec'd my GC ....all set for 2 years now

LIFTING CONDITIONS

June 20th sent I-751 to Vermont

June 25th received at Vermont.

June 27th NOA date

July 2nd Packet returned as section not filled in correctly---how stupid am I?!?!?

July 5th Packet sent back (overnight delivery) to USCIS with form filled in correctly

July 6th Packet received and signed for at Vermont

August 18th Biometrics Appointment in Philly........JULY 27TH EARLY BIOMETRICS DONE

Nearly 1 year later!!!
....received notification for my son to get biometrics done!(May 15th 2012)

May 11th 2012 Son's biometrics done early

June 2012 - Notice of lifting of conditions received

June 12th - texts- GC in production

June 13th - text- GC in post
