the only real negative effect it has is lowers your goals and plain makes you lazy.

so that makes them easy to spot.

except for: Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, & Barack Obama...didn't seem to make them lower their goals or lazy.

the best way to spot smokers is: look at who is sitting closer to the food line at the buffett....dead give away!

They are still smoking ?????????? wow you would think they would do some type of drug test for presidents or anyone in the government.

dunno if they still are...but all have admitted to it in the past.

Yep, legalized marijuana is the downfall of civilization as we know it.

definitely... D'oh!

I wonder where people get this idea that someone who has one joint is going to be completely incoherant, falling on the floor. The only evidence I've ever noticed from anyone I've ever seen after they've had a few tokes is they are just a bit more relaxed, laid back...and I think the munchie thing is a bit of nonsense too. "Getting high" is sooooo...last century. I think people who do it now, do it primarily to just relax...say like having a glass of wine. But it has this stigma attached to it. Ooooh, people who do are dopeheads...

And no, I don't partake.

Really only applies to those who smoke it everyday.

have you guys seen that show Intervention? most of the drug users started off by smoking weed... I know not everyone who smokes weed will turn to bigger drugs but I think people with addictive tendencies might turn to bigger drugs...

But correlation doesn't mean cause. These people would have been addicts anyway.

People with addictive tendencies can start out smoking cigarettes and turn to doing worse things. It's not the pot that leads them elsewhere, it IS the personality.

Addictive tendencies are just apart of some people, some people are addicted to drugs (legal and illegal)and alcohol, while others could be addicted to something that some people dont even notice, shopping, be it shoes or an art collection. Levels of addiction are just different.

Ever watched the documentary film, "Grass", narrated by Woody Harrleson? It will answer a lot of your questions.

Yeah actually even though this is going to get rolled eyes or boos by some, most of the people I know who smoked weed ended up on other drugs too. Meth and cocaine primarily. I guess there are some who stay strictly to weed. The people I knew/know hang out with people who do all these drugs. They all influence each other. They aren't responsible people sitting around discussing politics or intellectual things. They don't just go to weed parties and say "oh this is all we will do, no other drugs...". I guess there are some really responsible people who only smoke weed? I know they must exist since we hear about them. For medical use I understand, they probably don't want to move on to stronger things if they just want the "relaxed" feeling. I haven't known anyone who smoked weed who only did that drug and didn't either experiment with more or move on and get severely addicted to the drugs I mentioned. Some were very close friends. If people want to pretend that doesn't happen, fine. I will say ok there are people who only smoke pot for a nice feeling, but those I have known or known of didn't just smoke pot. That was their weak drug of choice.
