That my Fiance and I got our approval notice today in an email from Texas/California.

I have been reading here and you all have given me the opportunity to absorb so much helpful information.

I have met a few of you by PM and wanted to share my news with all of you.

I sent in our K1 and it was received on March 9, 2006.

I had nothing from Texas, except the case number.

I would check online every day, nothing, no updates, just nothing.

Actually, they had told me not to expect anything for 120 days.

This morning I got up and prepared myself to see the same old screen.....

Except that today I had a big surprise, there was a message in my email.

This case has been APPROVED!

Apparently, even though the proceesing time for Monday said February 3, 2006, they must have been working on our applicaton.

Just thought maybe this information might be helpful to someone else.

Perhaps also, you could answer a question for me?

Approximately how long does it take at the National Visa Center to process?

My Fiance and I were going to meet in another country at the end of this month for a vacation because we did not expect any news for another month or so. I do not want him to miss the information packet, but it may be a very long time before we can see other again.....any thoughts?

Thanks again to all of you,

Welcome to VJ and congrats on getting your K-1 approval.

I'm not sure how long the NVC is taking to forward K-1 cases to the Consulates right now, but they will send you a letter giving you your case number and inform you of which consulate your interview will be at. Then, your packet 3 will come in the mail. And after returning the checklist in package 3, you will get your interview date.

So, there's a bit of work still to do, so you'll probably be safe to go on your vacation and deal with the rest of the processing when you get back.

Good luck and best wishes.

Please no assaults, this sponsor process has been good for one bottle of Tylenol already.

I promise to do it this weekend, maybe I will even get a picture in there. My daughter is making her First Communion tomorrow, so the house is in an uproar, especially with our approval this morning!

I am still on the ceiling with happiness. Holding your breath is so hard.

Many thanks again for the warm welcomes,

Then it was so early in the morning, that I could not wait for everyone else to get up I knew so that I could call them.

The BEST thing will be to see him clear immigration in the USA!

I guess I can fianlly feel confortable enough to order my wedding dress. (L)
