Even though she's having a good time visiting her family, Mags is probably missing you a lot too Platy.

I remember when I had to go to Vegas for a conference. All the dazzling lights, sights and sound could not drown out the fact that I was wishing my husband was with me.

Hang in there! Hope Mags will continue to have a safe trip and that she'll come home with loads of stories and pictures!!

Since I like living dangerously, I embarked on a window replacement project during a huge thunderstorm/tornado watch. I finished this a while ago (in between posting here) but had to wait for a break in the rain/lightning/thunder to get outside for a pic.

Mags will be all surprised when she gets back to see that now ALL of the windows in the bedroom have been replaced. Now I just have to build a window seat for this window, get some trim around it (inside), and build a closet. w00t! When there isn't a threat of tornado goodness I'll get up on the roof of the addition and put up some new clapboards to disguise the old window opening and then make some window trim.

I finally got a call from her today. Yay!

She says she's leaving me for a construction worker who lives in council housing and has 8 kids.

Ok, not really. She's in Malta now visiting her dad. She'll be there until next Sunday when she flies back to London, meets up with Jordan, then flies here on Monday (16th). I don't expect to be around VJ much on the 16th or 17th.....
