Next photo is not for the sqeamish....

Note the abdomen.... the spider is about 3/4". We didn't notice the dozens of spiderlings till we saw the photo on the computer screen at home

07.05.2010 - Received Biometrics Schedule (July 26)

08.05.2010 - Biometrics done! (had to re-schedule from 7/26 to 8/5)

08.13.2010 - Got my interview letter

08.20.2010 - EAD card on production

09.06.2010 - Got my EAD Card (62 days)

09.07.2010 - Applied for SSN

09.14.2010 - SSN Card received

09.16.2010 - Interview schedule (APPROVED)

09.20.2010 - Welcome Notice Received ("Welcome to the USA")

09.25.2010 - 10 yr Green Card received! (98 days)

Thanks for the pics, they are beautiful...but that spider would have made me pass out by barely spotting it let alone taking a pic of it :lol:

28th july 2007 - N-400 mailed to VSC

(exactly on the 90th day mark...applications NOT returned although some scared me into thinking they could have!)

30th july 2007 - N-400 delivered to VSC

11th august 2007 - Delivery Confirmation receipt received

17th september 2007 - Money Order (FINALLY!) cashed

9th november 2007 - NOA! (notification period given 180 days)

21th november 2007 - Biometrics appointment letter

18th december 2007 - Biometrics appointment in Baltimore, MD completed

29th march 2008 - FINALLY received letter with interview date!

8th may 2008 H 8:40 AM - Interview in Baltimore-APPROVED!

8th may 2008 H 3:00 pm (yes same day, crazy!) Oath Ceremony in Baltimore

24th may 2008 - US Passport application mailed off

6th june 2008 - US Passport received in the mail!!!

Excellent photos Scot - I love the one with the yellow water

Where did you see this spider?

We encountered a rattlesnake on one of our hikes recently - it was very dramatic and exciting.

We were fishing on the lake shore when Lai spotted the spider crawling past her. Since the spider was only about 3/4", we didn't see the spiderlings till we saw the photo blown up on the computer screen. Lai felt a moment of panic and disgust when she realized several dozen spiderlings had been so close to her :blink:

You're probably better off you let it go on by. If you would have stepped on it the little spiders would have scattered everywhere.

That happened to a friend of mine in one of the restrooms at our church. He stepped on a spider, then when he pulled his foot back, a bunch of little spiderlings scurried off in different directions...

It's happened to me before too. It freaked me out terribly bad. Now I try to make Javi kill all the spiders. :blush:
