I had a roommate like that once.....

I remember one time I bought a box of doughnuts home and I said she could have a couple... she ended up eating most of them :o She said she would buy me some another time.... Well a few weeks later I was putting something in her room when I noticed a box of doughnuts by her bed.... I can't remember if it was the next day or later that day.. I found the almost full box of doughnuts in the garbage... :o She had decided she didn't want to eat them ..... I was like ......

she was a single mom and she was forever asking me if I could babysit so she could go out.... if I told her no she would say that she was going to hire a babysitter then.... Then I would give in because I wouldn't want to spend the evening with some babysitter in the house too :P ....

We had another roommate too and the single mom drove us both crazy because she would crank the heat all the way up... her reasoning was because we payed a set amount each month for heat and electricity.... we tried explaining to her that we had to pay the difference at the end of the year but she never seemed to understand.... what drove me really crazy though is that she had the heat up really high but she had the window in her room all the way open :o .... Her reasoning was that she had the baby sleeping in her room and he needed to be warm but she liked to sleep with it a bit colder.... it pissed me off because the heat was just flying out the window....

I got revenge though because I spent more time with her kid then she did and when he first started saying a few words he would call me mom  .... it drove her insane.... all she did with him was clothe him and feed him... the rest of the time she just left him in his playpen.... .... When I would get home from work or whatever, I would always take him out and spend time with him.... Some people should not be parents

That sounds pretty terrible, and you're right some people just shouldn't have kids!

yeah well send your infant to daycare and that's all they do... sit in a playpen or swing all day long. It's policy at major daycare centers. so i guess she's no worse than the daycare workers.

It would KILL me if my kids called anyone but me mommy.

I'm so glad I never had any roommates! You know Sarah, if you find them passed out and sleeping like that again, you could always get a bowl of warm water and put their hand in it while they sleep.

Haha yeah I should have done that.. next time I will and I'm sure there will be a next time. IF you can avoid it, never have roomates, even if it's your best friend that can make things worse big time. You're lucky you don't have any JP!

I was a bad bad room mate  I didn't eat other ppls food but I was a bit of party girl....the worst time was when I was doing my nurses training and we didn't get a say in who we shared a flat with, the others were a little more studious than myself....but with a little swapping around of ppl we all ended up with compatible flatmates.... :D
