I can't believe how excited I am. We received the email from USCIS just a bit ago that his 10 year green card has been approved and ordered today. He hadn't left for work yet so I was able to share this great news with him and didn't have to wait a few hours. Next stop citizenship! I had forgotten how I hated being and waiting through this immigration process. The good news is, everyone will make it through.

Here is a part of the good news.......

Application Type: CRI89 , PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On April 8, 2008, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

I still stop in and try to keep up because I know how helpful this forum can be to many of us. Good Luck to everyone.

I can't believe how excited I am. We received the email from USCIS just a bit ago that his 10 year green card has been approved and ordered today.

The approval is for more than a 10-year card... it for a lifetime of permanent status! (recalling that status does not expire with the 10-year card's expiration like it does with the 2-year conditional card).

PS to Chris Parker -- I'm pretty sure the OP knows that the "10-year green card" is the permanent resident status card -- "10-year card" is the standard way it's referred to all over VJ.
