Congratultions to new NOA2s!

Guys I need some advice: Can my fiancee prepare the DS-230, 156 and 156K in computer and take print out. Space is not large enough to write by hand. I know one of the forms has to be hand written and we will do that. Any thoughts?

I am pretty sure the 156 and 156k can be typed in a computer. Not sure about DS-230 since you don't need that form in Philippines.

If you get a letter saying that they received your petition and will be sending it to the consulate within a week DON'T believe it!!!!!! We were so happy to get it and I called a week later to find out they are still processing it and that's their regular routine!!! Before that they were telling me that they don't do anything with the K-1 petitions there....They are wasting time by sending worthless letters, instead of that they could spend it to process everything faster!!!!

So, I was hoping I might get through at least one part of the process without having to wait an extended period. Called NVC and no trace of my petition. It's only a week though. Anyone fancy some cheese with my whine? :D

Don't fret. We were approved on January 25. They never had our case number in their system, but I just got the letter in the mail dated February 1. You should see yours within the next week.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

In a modest town where honest people dwell

--July 22---------Sent I-129F packet

--July 27---------Petition received

--August 28------NOA1 issued

--August 31------Arrived in Terrace after lots of flight delays to spend Lindsay's birthday with her

--October 10-----Completed address change online

--January 25-----NOA2 received via USCIS Case Status Online

Well, today I've called NVC again (as I do everyday) and they told me that it looks like my case has finished processing and waiting to be shipped. What the hell does that mean? Why don't they just ship it?

It's like a fine wine. You can't just ship a petition out once it's been approved. You have to let it breathe a little. Only then is it ready to be shipped. :D

So, we are back to the subject of whine then? :)

I'll ask again: got some good old stinky cheese to go with that?
