I was really happy when I seen our NOA approval notice in the mail today :thumbs: It happened sooner than I expected but now I would just like to know what I should do next and when I should do it. Of course I studied the guides and know the basics, but its nice to hear it from someone who has been through these steps. One thing Im wondering about , is if I can send the affidavit and employee letter as soon as possible? Or is it something to wait closer to the interview?

I-129F Sent : 2006-02-07

I-129F NOA1 : 2006-02-14

I-129F RFE(s) : None

I-129F NOA2 : 2006-04-24

NVC Received : 2006-05-09

Packet 3 Received : 2006-06-09

Packet 3 Sent : 2006-06-26

Called Cons. and was told Interview date: Sept. 26!

Packet 4 Received week later: 2006-08-16

what is your service center? sorry..i see it is nsc...

they sent the packet to the nvc..

i wait till i received an interview date or at least packet 3 before getting the employment info..but, it is up to you

congratulations on approval.

Now you wait for the NVC security checks & on from there to the cnsulate.You can call em or u can try tracking shippments from NVC to vietnam& thus get an idea if yours has been mailed out or not.

I suggest that u get all the paperwork that u need mailed out to your fiance ready & mailed out as soon as possible.doesnt hurt to be ahead of time.

once approved case is sent to nvc and they give it a case number starting with letter that corresponde to embassy in the country of your fiance, once there they will send you packages with info depending on the country rules may vary you should check from your country

affidavit is for interview so try it to be dated close to time of interview

12/17/06 - Married!

AOS Process a fading memory...

01/31/07 - Mailed AOS/EAD package for Olga and Anya

06/01/07 - Green card arrived in mail

Removing Conditions

03/02/09 - Mailed I-751 package (CSC)

03/06/09 - Check cashed

03/10/09 - Recieved Olga's NOA1

03/28/09 - Olga did biometrics

05/11/09 - Anya recieved NOA1 (took a call to USCIS to take care of it, oddly, they were helpful)

Congratulations! Now it is time for you to fly over to a different forum. You are one of us now.

In response to your question, your affidavit and employee letter (amongst other things) will be hand carried with your fiance' to her interview. She will get get a copy of these requirements when she receives pack 3 from the consulate, but we will be happy to answer any question you have in the mean time.
