Update: 08/17/15 Once we were approved by the Montreal consulate, we were swept up into moving plans and updating our profile fell by the wayside. Once we were approved, our situation moved very fast. We packed up our belongings, terminated our lease on our apartment in Canada and moved to the US on May 11, 2015. The border crossing was very smooth, took about an hour while the officers filed my husband's paperwork. Once that was completed, we received his green card in the mail about a month after we arrived.	2015-08-17
