During the waiting period, I also contacted my Senator. The first time was when I was about to hit the 5 month mark and the second time was on 8/18. Two days later, I got the NO2 approval notice. I can't tell if it's because of my Senator's involvement or if USCIS is pushing to clear out cases that are 6 months old. Needless to say, I am happy to finally get the approval.	2013-04-30

However I contacted my Senator to start a dialogue with the consulate about the possibility of rescheduling a couple days later and they automatically moved the date to January 14th stating they contacted my Fiancee and got her approval. They flat out lied to my face about that. 12-7-09 THEN in a desperate plea to the consulate, I emailed them telling them how agonizing this was and if we could get an earlier date. They emailed back and said no. However, two hours later they emailed back, we have contacted your fiancee and her interview is TOMORROW. WOOHOO. Oh god, is everything ready!???	2010-11-13
