My father has been a rock-ribbed republican all of his life.  He nearly came unglued when he found out that my mother voted for Bill Clinton.  However, my father didn't vote for Trump.

I quote my father: "Trump is an egotistical jerk."

'Nuff said.

That's funny. I know some democrats who voted for Trump because they can't stand Hillary. If the DNC didn't sell out to Hillary (literally) and steal the nomination from Bernie they might have won the White House

He has to pander to what's left of his base. Dwindling numbers. He's desperate for approval from his adorants, so he goes deeper into the insanity.

the good news is, there is still time to BUILD THAT WALL!

I know a couple of Bernie supporters who voted for Trump, and I know several who just got frustrated and didn't even vote. To the extent that Trump energized part of the Republican base, Hillary sucked the life out of part of the Democrat base.

Looking ahead though, Hillary won't be running next time. The Republicans should acknowledge that before they pencil Trump in for 4 more years. The Democrats also  need to take a look in the mirror lest history repeat itself.

The alt-right loonies talk about 7 more years and I expect that part of his base would follow Trump off the cliff if it came to that. Buyers remorse will affect others to varying degree's. We already seen people jumping ship at every level.

Shows lack of familiarity with the American election system.

Your probably right but I wouldn't be 100% sure about that. The democrats better get their act together and not nominate someone on the fringes of the left or Trump probably will get 4 more years.

I've talked to several people who regret voting for him.  He seems to pick a new group every day to alienate, and this one defies logic. He gains nothing by insulting Warren, and he comes off as a bigot once again.

Obviously, there are people who voted for him who support this kind of behavior, but there are some who are embarrassed by it. Like all demagogues, give 'em enough rope and they'll eventually hang themselves with it.

I've talked to several people who regretted not voting for him.  They love how he is always on the attack, taken right from the DNC playbook, and wish they would have given him more support during the election season.

I've also talked to a yuge number of people who regret voting for Hillary.  They've now realized how embarrassingly inept she was as a candidate.

Kind of like people claiming Hillary won the election because she claims to have won the popular vote, despite that not being the deciding factor on who actually gets elected as our President?

We have a similar situation in Michigan.  Central Michigan University's nickname is the Chippewa, and the Chippewa tribe in mid-Michigan has fully endorsed this as it helps bring people to their casinos.

Are you so sure about that (Hillary not running again)?  She does seem to be doing her best to stay relevant in the political discussion.

That makes no sense. Trump won. Hillary lost. They would regret not voting for Trump if they like him and he lost. They would regret voting for Hillary if she won.

Put some more thought into your stories please.

Thats true, but I also wouldn't be surprised to see a concerted effort by the Republicans to find someone who can challenge Trump in the 2020 primaries.

Maybe they are talking about voting for her during the primary campaign, but of course we all know the DNC candidacy was bought and paid for by the Clinton's.
