There had been plenty of Filipinas who married divorcees who passed CFO without a hitch (or a very minor one). It makes me wonder how your wife answers questions and just how prepared she is when she goes through these standard procedures. Can she remember what the questions were?

Unfortunately (and fortunately) my wife and step son's I-130s were approved faster than expected and there is a chance they could have their visas by the end of the year. The unfortunate part is It will be impossible for me to get time off work until the beginning of next year. My wife and step son may have to fly here without me. I am a little worried about the customs part but my wife has been on international flights before so she should have no problem navigating the airports. I haven't decided if I will let them fly alone or wait until next year when I can get time off work.

I hope everything goes well for you duckhunter. I consider myself fortunate that my wife and step son's visa process has gone very smoothly so far. This type of situation is why I had my wife do her CFO soon after I mailed the I-130s and we are trying to get every step done ahead of time and as soon as possible in case we run into any issues.

That is different situation, my fiance has never left the Philippines and has only flown domestivally 2 times, she would be overwhelmed

Sorry there was a hiccup in the CFO certificate last week. I misunderstood her meaning saying her CFO was ok now. She did not get the certificate but she also did not get denied. My attorney in Manila went to the CFO office today and ended up meeting with both the counselor and the director of the CFO. Let me tell you folks, this is nothing but an intense psychological exam! That's all it is. If you're smooth and know how to answer questions it's easy. If you're a little shy maybe timid and unsure of yourself it's H&^%!

Hopefully the fiancee will have a good time in US, not being micromanaged daily.

My fiancé goes for his CFO today. Hopefully it isn't this crazy...I sent him with all the "extra" documents everyone said in their guides CFO might ask for, and even the copy of the I-129F packet.
