Hi All!

I want to send the package sometime this week. My 3 year anniversary is January 31, 2016. So I'm eligible to apply, correct??

Along with the paperwork and application, do we need to include a Cover Letter? Did anyone include one? if so, what do we say in it? also, will this package include most of the same paperwork from those who just recently got our Removal of conditions approved??

Thanks!

ar & bi, just wondering how you got the do your fingerprints Oct. 30? NVM, just noticed it's for the notification, not the fingerprints.

Also, have any of you gotten an email notification yet? They have cashed our check, but yet no email.

I got the email two days after my checks were cashed (credit card was charged)

Thanks!

Hi! 3 years from the date you become a Legal Permanent Resident or your wedding anniversary? Make sure you count from the "Resident Since" date on your Green Card, NOT your wedding anniversary! If you have the correct date then yes, you can file now.

A cover letter isn't required but we included one in my packet - out of habit :) I just listed the contents of my packet.

As for the attachments: http://www.visajourney.com/content/naturalization_guide

newpost.gifIf you are applying for naturalization on the basis of marriage to a U.S. citizen, send the following four items:

1. Evidence that your spouse has been a U.S. citizen for the last three years: to_post_off.gif Birth certificate (if your spouse never lost citizenship since birth), or to_post_off.gif Naturalization certificate, or to_post_off.gif Certificate of Citizenship, or to_post_off.gif The inside of the front cover and signature page of your spouse's current U.S. passport, or to_post_off.gif Form FS-240, 'Report of Birth Abroad of a Citizen of the United States of America', and

2. Your current marriage certificate; and

3. Proof of termination of all prior marriages of your spouse-divorce decree(s), annulment(s), or death certificate(s); and

4. Documents referring to you and your spouse:

to_post_off.gif Tax returns, bank accounts, leases, mortgages, or birth certificates of children, or to_post_off.gif Internal Revenue Service (IRS)-certified copies of the income tax forms that you both filed for the past three years, or to_post_off.gif An IRS tax return transcript for the last three years.

So much for Express Mail XD This is probably the last time we will ever use Express Mail for anything. It was how we sent our previous packets(and they all arrived in 1 day) but USPS failed us this time :s The tracking info finally updated but scheduled delivery has now been pushed back to Thursday (since tomorrow is Veterans' Day) even though the packet arrived at the destination post office this morning :( The only upside is that we can get a refund for the postage. But the stress.......I was terrified that they lost the packet and if we decided to refile, it would eventually show up again weeks or months later and cause problems @_@

USPS had disappointed me, too. I got rejection on the first N400 package I sent and had to submit another one, and just sent it today the only thing I added was N-400 form/about 20 pages/ USPS told me it was one whole pound heavier and made me pay $40 compared to the $35 I sent the last time. Also, I think since your package didn't make it there on time they owe you $100 dollars, not just the refund. But $100 compared to the confusion it will cost on you and the frustration is nonmeasurable

Hi everone i dont know whats happen with my package i dont get any news for it :(

The same happened to me, I haven't heard anything for some time and never got my check cashed and then I got the package with rejection notice in the mail. I sent my first package 10/29 and just got it back yesterday, so if they haven't cashed your check yet, there might be a big possibility you will be getting your package back in the mail. Not the end of the world, but a very frustrating process for me, having to deal with the second submission.
