Okay so call everyday and speak with a tier 2? Or will a tier 1 be able to tell me when/if it was sent out?

I would recommend not to call USCIS tier 2 until it has been 30 days, because they will not do anything. They will simply ask you call back after it has been 30 days.

That's what I did. I had called to call and speak to tier 2 again when 30 days timeframe was met.

Thats weird , hopefully they will start reviewing your packages today , did they appear on the system ( received it

) ... wishing they stick on one answer next time i call ,either they started reviewing or they accepted the package . i thought they will finish reviewing today and i was astonished wn the guy told me they didn't start yet grrrr

Same thing happened to me it was almost as if some operators could see it was recieved and in the process of a second review and others were saying that it wasn't recieved. Give them a call tonight... took about 2 days after being told it was being reviewed that I recieved case complete.

So dont even call them to ask if my approval has been sent out until 30 days?

Well, your NOA2 tells you approved petition will be sent to NVC. You can call them, but they would not give you the exact date approval docs were sent to NVC, even after 30 days.

I waited 30 days and the IO created a case request to have another approval sent to NVC.

So bottom-line, you can do what you want, but from what I know it is waste of time.

I've seen discrepancies before between operators, that's why I always suggest calling NVC a few times to get a majority answer.

Shoot an email pronto with the subject line beginning with 'Supervisor Review', followed by your case number and beneficiary's full name. Explain the situation and ask for the case to be closed and you'll bring the certificate to the interview. It's not guaranteed to be accepted, but it's worth a shot.

If they're asking for something specific, then it's not a false checklist. A false checklist is only when they ask for the other, ENTIRE package.

What proof of employment did you send?

That's the case complete email good.gif

Saylin,

As you suggested, I emailed NVC last night and got a reply this morning which doesn't say much. They basically told me that they received my inquiry and received documentations for my case and to please allow at least 20 business days for the documents to be reviewed.

Anything else I should be doing??

Thanks

Definitely worth a shot. But like another member said, they may not do anything until 30 days has passed. But, I have seen members here get helpful Tier 2s that actually can tell them if the case has been sent out or not. So, if you want to feel like you're doing something, call and ask. It's always worth a shot!

You can try calling up NVC and asking to speak with a supervisor. Explain over the phone your situation and then state your request. See what they say.

Do you just wash people's cars or do you work part-time at an ACTUAL carwash? If at an actual carwash where you are being paid they should have a company logo/letterhead where they can write up a quick letter that says how often you work there and how much you get paid. I would not suggest making anything up, but that's just because I'm not wanting anything to jeopardize my husband coming home. You can also write a letter which states you are a full time student and working just part time. If you are not making over the 125% then your co-sponsor should have had a letter too. If you are making over the 125% then you should certainly have some company that is paying you to be able to write your letter. My boss is a psychologist and I his office manager. I wrote my own letter out printed it and he took it to a bank signed it and got it notarized. I basically did the work and he just signed it. Maybe your carwash place would let you do that too if for some reason they don't have any company letterhead.

Since the IV and AOS were delivered to the NVC, my congressman liaison requested an expedite Friday. I requested she hold off until I sent the AOS and IV packets to ensure the complete packets will be forwarded to the consulate. She said she will follow up this Friday to find out. Crossing my fingers.

Wow!!! look like you have one POWERFUL CASE there buddy.

I don't know who would say that you needed to reapply from the start. That is just crazy. Even they lose the I-130, USCIS can have new copies sent to NVC.

But it is the unnecessary wait that is painful.

If you claim self employed and in the instruction of I-864 you will need to prove it with a tax id tie to your business. I don't think a letter head explaining washing car in your spare time will be sufficient or even get you through with CO during interview. Best thing to do now is start looking for a sponsor quick or use your asset. Just my 2 cents, unless the forum have better ideas or I'm wrong.
