Hi everyone, I filed my Adjustment of Status almost two months ago. In my USCIS account, there was a blue paperclip in the corner of my I-485 that said “Concurrent Filing”, and it was grouped together with my I-131 and I-765. See attached. Yesterday, I saw that my I-485 was “separated” and no longer has a “Concurrent Filing” tag. Instead, that appears on the I-765, which remains grouped with the I-131. It probably means nothing and it’s just a glitch, but wondering if that happened to anyone else? Could it potentially mean there’s movement on my EAD/AP, or even my I-485? Maybe it means one of my forms was assigned to an officer?

Hello all, this is my first time writing in this forum. I was searching if there were any April 2023 filers, but couldn't find any. If there's one. please feel free to close this and direct me to it so we don't duplicate topics. I submitted in 28th of April 2023 and got a text that it was received on the 1st of May. Still waiting for the mail and so far no updates yet. I am new to this so lets se what happens next :). I know this would be a long journey so it would be great to not have to go through it alone! -
Hi all, I wanted to make this group to post updates on everyone's AOS/EAD/AP etc. I'm personally very interested in everyone's work authorization status, if you've already received yours? My timeline is; Feb. 24 2023: AOS/EAD/AP submitted Mar. 03 2023: Rejected (used an old version of form) Mar. 04 2023: AOS Resubmitted Mar. 28 2023: RFE received May 19 2023: response to RFE submitted Waiting since. -
I (US citizen) have filed I-130 for my huband and kids (Canadian Citizens) to move to the US. All of us currently live in Canada. While the I-130 is in process, can my husband apply for a work visa through TN visa or should I file I-765 Employment Authorization Document (EAD)?

Hello, I recently submitted my application to USCIS that included forms I-130, I-30A, I-485, I-864, I-693, I-765 and I-131. However, my payment was declined because my bank thought the charge coming from USCIS was fraudulent. I received my application back today and it came with a green slip that said to refile with the green paper on top. The applications all came stapled together, my medical examination form came back open and some of the evidence I had submitted is out of order. Is it okay to re-submit the application as is alongside a money order. Or should I remove the staples, organize everything again and get a new sealed envelope from my civil surgeon? I applied for a fiancé visa for my now wife and then after we were married applied for her green card. Since then I have had a few friends ask me and my wife for help navigating the visa and green card process, and we have always been happy to help. I have some friends who recently came to me, requesting help with some of their documents. They had their documentation filed by an attorney who was hired by the organization who sponsored them. They are not connected with the organization or the attorney who originally filled everything for them, and they can’t afford another attorney. They have a pending I-765, but USCIS sent them a request for evidence. Apparently whoever filed the I-765 left question 30 blank. (Have you EVER been arrested for and/ or convicted of any crime?) They need to find out information from USCIS with regard to this and to set up an account with USCIS, and they wanted me to help them make a call to USCIS because they don’t speak very good English. If I am with them, can i help them with contacting USCIS as a third party friend?

Hi, I am filing form I-765 under c(9) category. I have previously had CPT, OPT, STEM OPT Extension. Do I list these in the additional information page? And if yes, what would be the page, part and item number Thank you for the help!

Hello everyone, I have applied for I-765 (EAD) for employment authorization. Currently, I'm on an H4 visa which was issued last year. This is a standalone application in the sense that I have only applied for EAD. My application processing center is in California, and the last update I got from them was about the receipt notice last week for April. So it's been more than four months since I have gotten any updates from the USCIS. I was trying to see if I can get a response from USCIS. I do not qualify for expedited requests as my reason is more of "I'm freaking frustrated". I do have a pending job contract. After talking to a lawyer, he said it's possible and would cost around $4500(!!). My application is still processing for 4 months, which is still under the processing time suggested by USCIS, which is 9 months. I'm trying to see if it's worth going down this route as it's a lot of $$$, and if there is a really low chance of this resulting in anything I'd like to know beforehand. Does anyone have experience with successfully filing a Mandamus? Any help appreciated. -
Hi guys! I am getting ready to send my AOS, and still not sure for this question - WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT IMMIGRATION STATUS OR CATEGORY? This question is on Form I-765, and I-485! Looking for an answer for a long time, and until now get so many different answers and options , not sure what to do! I got married on my last day of Visa Waiver Program (ESTA), so is my status now : OUT OF STATUS (because my visa expired, even though I got married before that) or VISA WAIVER PROGRAM EXPIRED - PENDING I-130 , or IMMEDIATE RELATIVE- SPOUSE OF THE US CITIZEN ? Please help me! Thanks guys you are the best!
