According to the Packet 4...Along with AOS I have to bring the employment letter of the petitioner ,W-2 form and/or pay slips.
I don't have the original copy of employment letter and w-2 form ....I only have the photocopy(black and white) of those documents.
 

please can anyone tell me...will photocopy do? or do I need the original document?
and employment letter is of dec 2016 i.e. of 2 months back...is it okay?or do I need a new one?
my visa interview at mumbai consulate is on 2nd march 2017.

please reply.

Get your petitioner to get the copies notarized and scan you. That will work just fine.

07/12/2019 -- Biomentrics Appointment Letter received. The Letter is Dated 7/5/2019. Appointment is on 7/22/2019

03/03/2022 -- Interview Complete. No new Green Card will be produced as my Naturalization was also approved.

The employment letter is not the hiring letter but a letter confirming where the petitioner is currently working. So, the petitioner will need to ask the current employer for a new letter. Original, not photocopy, I believe.

 

As for the W-2, photocopies, not originals. You take originals to the interview.

In the first instance, why should the employer waste time going to notarize a photocopy instead of just issuing a fresh, original letter of employment?

 

And in the second instance, OP does not have the original, so what is he/she going to use as a basis for notarizing the photocopy of the employer letter?

The petitioner is in US and can't send the originals in time. The petitioner (who has the originals) can get them notarized and send the scanned notarized copies to OP.
