Okay well I just called a lawyer that has quite a client load and they said their clients are being scheduled. They feel its just a big coincidence that one here is getting scheduled.

I say they take my long standing idea. At Case Complete NVC opens up the ustraveldocs.gov portal so you can schedule your own dang um interview. How about that. I mean why is it K1 can and you can't?

Or maybe it's just lawyer talk? A "my clients are being scheduled" type of thing?

I know the users on VJ are just a small tiny fraction of the amount of cases going through the NVC, but we would represent a sample of the population.

If there are 100 of us here and less than 5 people got interview dates in August, that is only 5%.

I would assume we could extrapolate and say that out of 1000 people out there, 50 got interviews, or even further - out of 10000 people going through the NVC (I don't know if that is the case), only 500 got interviews.

I am sorry to put this out to you all but this is the truth and we all must face it. It's not that the NVC is lazy and not doing their job. But its because we applied for the visa. My luck is so bad that along with my case, all of your cases are going to lag too. Every stage of this visa process i am passing through i have been seeing people struggling with many problems :cry:

lol.. They are probably spending time on facebook. Reading through this forum is part of work.

Anyways, since we have established in this thread, the biggest role in the interview process is played by Priority Date. For marriage based cases, it's the date when I-130 is sent. Assuming from your timeline, your PD is 2015-03-14, the latest person on family based case who got the appointment that I know of is suzannepecak, and her priority date is 2014-08-08. You have some waiting to do, unless they are done scheduling the ones with case complete and priority date earlier than yours.

I have PD of 1 Oct 14. Waiting....

The biggest problem is not the wait it is the lack of information, to be honest I don't see the purpose of nvc all the same documents we summited with uscis is still the same stuff nvc wants but only more $$$$.This long beaucracy with our govt is long is totally unnecessary ....why not uscis straight to the embassy.....dang!!!

cheer up, we all need to cheer each other up. dont feel too bad. just remember to wish me 1 yr anniv tomorrow :(
