Stackeria...! Hope your flight went well. Sorry we had no good news for you when you landed. Any chance you are (or anyone else is) planning to phone NVC today?

I know we are all feeling defeated and all thinking we aren't going to bother phoning again until someone else posts good news...but if all of us give up then we really will all just be waiting for our own emails. I guess that's what the NVC wants us to do. My theory? They are no longer giving interview dates over the phone. I have absolutely no evidence to support this theory other than none of us have interview dates yet!!

22 days since case complete.

My previous post was based on Interview but if it seems to be more like NVC ranting then am out of here. I'll rather stick to the NVC rant thread.

Wasn't directed at you...sorry if I made you feel that way.

Hey Everyone,

I am waiting for an interview date as well! My CC was mid Sept. I have been following this thread for the last couple weeks and decided to post today. I just wanted to bring up the recent developments of the ebola outbreak in west Africa. As of now we have an man in Texas who has had contact with several people on the flight over from West Africa and as well as individuals from a school including some kids. Obviously this is serious. Restrictions have been placed on flights from various countries. I am predicting that maybe sometime in the future all passenger flights might be cancelled? Could we have a temporary halt on the visas being issued because of ebola? This is just a theory folks! I am speculating, what does everyone think?

I hope I am wrong and someone gets an interview date tomorrow!

Only coming from West Africa do I see this effecting anyone. I know I have many many friends waiting for their husbands, children, fiance' to get interview they are all up and down west Africa and every day looks worst and worst.

Interview APPROVED!!!! It was only one question. What is your husband's job? That is it!!!! They gave her yellow paper that explains payment of $165. Can I pay that before the visa is issued? Good luck for all of you! Thanks!

Congratulations. No you have to wait to pick up Visa you need that number to be able to pay.

Jumping in the pool here to say hello.

CC Sept.30, and appalled at those of you with cc dates of sept 10 and no interview.

Anyway, it would be wonderful if there were a flood of actions on scheduling interviews. I, too, got the party line that it's up to the embassy, which seems like a sort of "cover their ###" response :)

Congratulations on the CC. Welcome to the group. And NVC needs a time out.

I can remember when they wouldn't announce until they had all slots filled or ran our of people for that country. Than a massive batch job would drop and inbox's full of interview. We didn't have to call and that was just 2012 and early 2013.

Looks like they trying a new thing (me thinks they know we watching them).

So NVC what you got for us.

I wish I could talk to Supervisor Gus and find out what is really happening. New processes and improvements.? Is there a delay for some reason. I mean EVERY embassy on the planet. REALLY??

I am not even waiting and I am getting upset and have a headache now. Ughhh!

Come on we need some joy up in here. Yes of course you can rant and cry and scream. Then we are going to party like its 1999.

Anyone going to POE through Houston. I want to meet you. I can be the official greeter. :goofy:

So the question for a few of us is if we will get the November interview date. The cut off for October interview was Sept 10th, hopefully all of us get November date.

Also, looking at timing and cost about having my family here all together. Airlline tickets in late November and December are so expensive, but it worth the effort.

I'm sharing NVC employee reviews as how they feel working there -

http://www.indeed.com/cmp/National-Visa-Center/reviews?id=3b0d1ac574f8e987&from=overview&irclick=reviewc

QUOTE

"""I worked there for 3 years and it was the most depressing time of my life. I was an awesome worker there but yet lousy workers always got promotions and not the ones working hard. The managers treat you like garbage and if they can save a dollar by firing someone who has worked there 15 years or 1 year they will, I have seen this happen plenty of times.more... I urge people not to work at this place as it really can make your life miserable""

"This place will make you hate yourself. It is miserable. You are a robot. You are NOT ALLOWED under any circumstances to speak to other employees"

 not literally hundreds of times tho ( just like when people say "wait a second or wait a minute" doesn't mean 1 second or 1 minutes right? ) but A LOT.. especially when i have to wait mostly more than 1 hour before i got in touch with NVC rep. I'm using my ipad wifi only to call them... so no need to stick to my ears for long period of time when using MAGICJACK. Btw .. this App not just offering free calls to US & Canada from anywhere in the world.. also the App is free! yay!! :D :D

My bad didn't have you on the spreadsheet. Just added you.

Hi guys, I have a question for all of you.

So... I originally sent both packages together, Scan date of Aug 13th. BUT. Since my police certificate was going to expire on Sep 29th... I resent the police certificate and I got an email that they received that document on Sept 22nd. which means that by the time the 2nd police certificate arrives to the 60 days deadline it'll be expired again.

I wonder if I can get NVC to overlook the 2nd police certificate and close my case based on the 1st set of papers?.... and allow me to bring a current police certificate to the interview(even though I've been reading that for mexico a police certificate is not mandatory)

Feedback appreciated :)

Quick note for BritishInfusion - sorry it took me so long, just catching up on forums today. Regarding the DS-260, I did mean the CONFIRMATION page. They did check the paper copy outside the embassy where the were no access to computers. I did take the full version along with me, but I had spare copies of EVERYTHING we submitted regardless of electronic submission or manual.

I know. ####### is going on! Luckily I was actually only on hold for a new record low of 15 minutes. The same rumours have been circulating for over a week now!

While we are waiting for the interviews to be scheduled, I have a question for the interview at the Embassy.

I am U.S. Citizen sponsoring my husband but we both live in Europe.

According to the VISA guidance that Sylin has kindly provided, people who live outside U.S. needs to provide proof of US domicile. When I sent the AOS package, I did not include any letter to explain my situation for "domicile", although all my U.S. bank account statements that I provided in the AOS package, have my U.S. address on them. Our AOS was approved without providing the cover letter to explain how I re-establish domicile in the U.S.

For the interview in the near future (I believe!) at the embassy, do I still need to prepare a letter to explain that I am taking some steps to re-establish my domicile?
