Hi everybody!

My fiancé sent our package on April 25th. It was received on April 28th and we received our NOA1 notification by text and email on May 1st. So we though we were May filers, but on the hardcopy that he received yesterday the notice date is April 30th... So it looks like we are actually not May filers but April filers!

Best wishes to all of you on your visa journey!

I finally got through on the National Visa Center phone line. I was in queue for almost 30 minutes and was worried they would drop me when it turned midnight Eastern time. I guess they process all those waiting in queue, so stay on the line. I finally got my case number! W00t! They told me my package should be sent to the embassy this week.

I am frustrated that we just received notice that we are getting an RFE. I am using an immigration attorney and they signed off on all the documents that were submitted... Now I have to wait for the actual letter and then figure out what to do next. This process is so frustrating!

Yeah that is why I did my petition by myself, and based on everything that I have read a good majority of the members here have done the same given the ridiculous prices they charge for one, and also the ones who did hire an attorney usually got an RFE.
