When I went for my k1 visa interview, there was a couple there who done the 1-130 also.

The lady was american her husband was irish. she was living with him in Ireland.

She told me she wished she had of done the k1 process, as it took them nearly 2 years to get the interview from the date she filed the i-130.

So I would say just be patient .

You missed the part where OP hasn't even got her approval yet. She's nowhere near the interview stage. At this point, I'd go so far as to say USCIS have lost her case.

OP, have you contacted the ombudsman? Contact them again if you have.

If it has been nearly two years since the petition has been filed, then it may be time to consider pursuing a Writ of Mandamus if all avenues such as INFOPASS, service requests, Congress/Senator, and Ombudsman have been exhausted.

I would recommend that you contact the USCIS and inform them that your case is still pending after 17 months!

The US Citizen should contact the local office of the Senior United States Senator from their State and ask for the assistance of the Immigration Liaison.

Contact your local congressman or state senator. 17 months is just too long... You are definitely going to have to get someone involved to find out what is going on.
