Oh, good! I guess we'll have to look up his date for sure and update the list, then! Then the only other person who would still be waiting from ages ago would be marthabrown, from Kenya. good.gif

Sadly, I think Martha is still waiting for an interview date. Last I wrote with her a week or so ago, she was still waiting. Makes me feel like crying as we should get our case complete any day and will then be waiting for an interview in Kenya.... Praying the embassy hurries up soon.

Sadly, I think Martha is still waiting for an interview date. Last I wrote with her a week or so ago, she was still waiting. Makes me feel like crying as we should get our case complete any day and will then be waiting for an interview in Kenya.... Praying the embassy hurries up soon.

A question for any of you with interview dates scheduled:

Did you receive the e-mail notice about the interview date as soon as - or soon after - you received the information by phone?

I just got off the phone with a very nice operator at the NVC. She chastised me (nicely) for calling repeatedly, saying AS SOON AS they assign an interview date, they will send that information to all three e-mail addresses they have on file (me - agent, my husband - petitioner, my stepson - beneficiary). I argued that every other time I have received information it has come exactly 1 WEEK AFTER the information is available and we need to buy some plane tickets so I would rather avoid a week delay if I can.

The case was just approved April 26, so it's fine if our embassy is just backed up and we have to wait, but I was just wondering if this is the ONE step where they actually send out an e-mail as soon as the info is available... then I can stop calling every few days. smile.png

PS The case status also changed to "At NVC" .... just on a whim, I decided to check other numbers, just changing the last number of our case. The three behind us are "Ready" with interviews scheduled. humph

Interview - APPROVED 175 days from NOA-1 date
ROC - 2010-2011
October 5 - I-751 sent APPROVED 111 days from NOA-1 date, no interview.
NATURALIZATION - 2012
APPROVED 79 days.
May 9 - Oath ceremony - in Oakland, CA.

Jan 22 - APPROVED 65 days from NOA-1. Never transferred to field office.

Feb 4 - received @ NVC
Feb 26 - Got NVC Case # and Invoice ID #
----------------------------------slowing down the process a little... stepson can't come till nearly July-----------------------------
March 19 - Sent e-mail Choice of Agent, without scan of DS-3032. Paid AOS fee ($88).
April 1 - Choice of Agent information accepted (10th "working day" to accept).
April 3 - IV invoice appeared. Paid IV fee ($230).
April 11 - Sent IV package and AOS package TOGETHER. Confirmed delivery April 15.

April 26 - Case Complete (10th working day)

May 14 - Interview date assigned (12th working day)

June 5 - Interview in Sofia - VISA GRANTED!!!

June 16 - POE @ SFO. No problems. He's a citizen now!

Oct 4 - US Passport received. (SS card received some time in the summer; had to go to SSA office to obtain)

I'm pretty sure they send out the P4 the same day the interview is scheduled. A lot of members have reported back as having gotten it minutes after finding out on the phone, or even finding out before getting a chance to call (like me!). I think the NVC case status only changes to "Ready" after an interview has been scheduled and the case file has been sent out.

My VIsa Status switched to “ready" today. It was “in transit” yesterday. Got my interview e-mail 1 May.

I'm pretty sure they send out the P4 the same day the interview is scheduled. A lot of members have reported back as having gotten it minutes after finding out on the phone, or even finding out before getting a chance to call (like me!). I think the NVC case status only changes to "Ready" after an interview has been scheduled and the case file has been sent out.

I think you are right, it changes to "Ready" when the interview has been scheduled, as the pages with Ready had information about the interview. I am (im)patiently waiting for that to be our status.... I don't really care what the actual date is, but since we have a child involved, we have to book a flight for his father to go to the interview and probably another flight for me to go to bring him to the U.S. (if the interview time isn't close to when the kid is finished with his school year), plus of course the kid's flight here! - so thousands of dollars worth of tickets and I want to start using all my resources ASAP to find the most reasonable price for all this.

But for now, DONE calling. I'm glad to have the list here for a resource, so I am estimating an interview date of mid-late June.

CR-1 - 2008
January 7 I-130 sent - APPROVED in 106 days.
Interview - APPROVED 175 days from NOA-1 date
ROC - 2010-2011
October 5 - I-751 sent APPROVED 111 days from NOA-1 date, no interview.
NATURALIZATION - 2012
APPROVED 79 days.
May 9 - Oath ceremony - in Oakland, CA.

Nov 15 - I-130 sent. NOA-1 received from MSC.
Jan 22 - APPROVED 65 days from NOA-1. Never transferred to field office.

Feb 4 - received @ NVC
Feb 26 - Got NVC Case # and Invoice ID #

March 19 - Sent e-mail Choice of Agent, without scan of DS-3032. Paid AOS fee ($88).
April 1 - Choice of Agent information accepted (10th "working day" to accept).
April 3 - IV invoice appeared. Paid IV fee ($230).
April 11 - Sent IV package and AOS package TOGETHER. Confirmed delivery April 15.

April 26 - Case Complete (10th working day)

May 14 - Interview date assigned (12th working day)

June 5 - Interview in Sofia - VISA GRANTED!!!

June 16 - POE @ SFO. No problems. He's a citizen now!

Oct 4 - US Passport received. (SS card received some time in the summer; had to go to SSA office to obtain)
