Just waiting for that case complete! I called today. Nothing. It's only been about a week though.

I'm still on vacation in Florida with my baby girl.

You can also go into an office to get them. Hubs did that. Took a couple hours but he had them in hand that day.

If you're lucky enough to live in a town where there's an office! :P

Holy God.

Saylin - is this a data point for you? unknown..

got in a checklist letter via email, a nice pdf attachment thingie,

circa 15:39 CST, stating

'We are still waiting for the Immigrant Visa fee payment(s )' .

I take it that someone was reviewing the IV Doc Set and decided to generate that checklist letter.

That's all it was asking for.. .I'm not concerned, the payment portal still shows in process on the IV fee bill but it cleared outta my bank already.

hmmmmmmmmmmmm I mean, they would not generate a checklist letter requesting ONE SPECIFIC THING unless a human reviewed the IV set, right? Right !

this is going rather fast... hmmmmmm

I'm not going to respond to this thing, at all...

timeticks in my profile, if'n anyone wants to see them.

To me, it sounds like a false checklist based off them reviewing (and accepting) your AOS package ;)

Duh - no sh|t ! in the first letter, is the magic word 'support'.

You know, you remember - 'We have reviewed the documents which you submitted in support of an application for an immigrant visa'

That's the magic phrase, in the first sentence, telling me it's a false checklist.

I swear, I got excited because all it was asking for , was to pay the immigrant visa fee. bah.

Nevermind, ok la - false checklist letter received, today... go ge go ge go.... .

Time to find some tele-tubbie ####### on youtube and zone-out, making fun of Poe and her purse.

It doesn't get invoiced the SECOND the email is sent/received. It can still take a few more days. Just keep an eye on it.

And you have to make your own signature. Go to your settings, then signature. Add whatever you like :)

Thanks Saylin. U r the best! God bless ur soul for helping us out here.

I am unsure as to if its also the I-864EZ version. Does anyone else know?

Perhaps ask this question on the new I-864 thread I sent you?

I will, thank u! It's just confusing that all these AOS documents have various versions so am trying to make sure I pick up the version that fits me and from the sounds of it, I think I-864EZ fits me but how can I make sure...plz help guys. I will also post my question at the I-864 forum.

There's 3 criteria you need to meet, and if you're eligible, you can fill out the I-864EZ.

I interpret the guidelines to say that old versions of the I-184EZ will continue to be accepted, alongside the new version that they released. The only form for which they will not accept the old version after June 23 is the I-184, and it says this explicitly on the USCIS website.

Yes I agree, if I do file using old I-864EZ, I don't have to worry as there is no limitation on it per uscis website....unlike a regular I-864....they don't accept the old ones after June 23rd.

I think I do qualify the three criteria. Per NVC website, these are:

- I filed an I-130 for my relative (yes, for my spouse)

- There's only one applicant on the form I-130 (which is my spouse)

- all my qualifying income comes from my salary (the job I have currently)

I don't have any joint sponsors...so what do u guys think...this form...does apply to my situation, right? I just want to confirm and make sure before I send out the wrong AOS form.

Yes, if you meet the criteria then use it. The form is so much simpler. We used it.

Saylin, does it sound to you like the Embassy is going to approve the Visa, we just got this email:

"We’re working on your case thoroughly in order to give a positive issue quickly,

Thank you for your information,"

It does seem to indicate that. Have you called up DOS yet to see what they say?
