Yes. your spouse still needs to provide his tax information like tax transcript or w2 and 1040 and the same goes for the co sponsor .

we did 3 years of tax information and also co sponsor recent paystubs. And again, is the petition employed? If yes,he would need to provide paystubs too.

US citizens and Green Card holders are taxed on their worldwide income. There is a foreign income exemption so that a person is not double taxed (up to a certain amount). But the person may still be required to file a US tax return. Look on the irs.gov website ( http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/international/index.html ) to get more information.

If ur fiance is a us. citizen, had a home and lived there for a full 330 days, earned foreign income, and was a genuine, resident for a full and uninterupted tax year,...then you can claim the foreign income exclusion or deduction from paying US. taxes.

Same answer as your other thread. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/317703-i-want-to-know-about-tax/page__view__findpost__p__4759547

US citizens and Green Card holders are required to file taxes on their worldwide income. Working outside the US does not excuse a person from filing taxes. There are minimums for whena person must file. Go to the irs.gov website to learn the requirements.

It doesn't matter if there is a joint sponsor. The petitioner is still required to submit their own information. Different embassies and consulates have their own requirements. Ask at the place where the interview occurs.

If the interview is going to be in Nigeria (as your profile indicates) you better over prepare. Lagos is known as the toughest due to rampant fraud. They do not play.

If your main sponsor didn't make enough to be required to file taxes (check up on this) they can't make him bring tax returns.

Your co-sponsor needs to at least provide a current employment letter and recent paystubs.

It might be more difficult with your Embassy, can't tell you about that.
