I just had a phone call from my gorgeous fiancee....

She was telling me that she was on the uscis website and gathered that the cost of my adjustment of status is going to be $2300.

All along we thought that it would only cost $1100

can someone shed some light cuz i am now confused and :crying::wacko:

as of what the cost will be...

WHAT IS THE COST OF THAT PROCESS???

$1010 For 1 K1/Fiance to adjust status (includes AOS, EAD and - if desired - AP) plus biometrics. She may be adding some things that don't need to be added.

The cost of AOS (I-485) is $1010 (this includes biometrics).

That fee includes two optional benefits: I-765 (Employment Authorization) and I-131 (Travel Document) that you can use while the greencard is being processed. Once you get the GC, these will no longer be needed.

YMMV

I agree, that was rude. I had the same legitimate question as you and your fiance, so thanks for asking it (USCIS has one fee for the I-485, and another for an "I-485 supplement", so I was confused - and I am far from blonde). Best of luck to you. :)

If I choose not to have her receive "Employment Authorization" and "Travel Document", do I still have to pay that $1010? Or a lower fee?

Wow.....
