Shu & Cary China California No Guangzhou, China 2008-07-22 2008-07-25 2008-11-21 2008-06-20 2008-06-22 2008-11-21 2008-12-04 2008-12-11 2009-02-26 2009-03-06 2009-03-10 2009-03-25 2009-04-28 2009-05-01 2009-05-04 2008-03-25 312* 3 119 158 FYI the https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp Website that is suppose to keep you updated on status changes is EXTREMELY Slow in updating status. This note is possed 11/28/2008 and the approval of both the I129F and I130 was on 11/21/2008. Yet the website does not reflect the updates. There is suppose to be an email notification when the status changes were posted. But I did have status changes to filed and did not receive notification of the status change to filed pending, from received. I will let you know if I get updates when the system status is changed. We received a phone call from the Consulate the 26 of Feb validating the Address as the romanization listed did not look correct to the Chinese Staff and they wanted to make sure the package made it to the right location. 1. If your VISA is approved the VISA is mailed express mail to Guangdong only. No other location can it be received. 2. If your VISA Approval is over a holiday ADD at least 3 days to the process of receiving the VISA in the Passport as the Mail system is slow around holidays and can take as much as 3 additional days to deliver the VISA. 3. DO NOT Get your Air Line Tickets UNTIL you have the VISA in your hands. You do not know this until you get your invitation letter. Make sure that the US Sponsor knows this as major issues and additional costs will ensue. 4. Most of the airlines have much cheaper options to fly to the USA from China points of origin. 5. Plan to be here the entire time the Wife/Fiancee is here for their interview and physical. It makes it easier to get things done. 6. Ensure that ALL US documentation is Notarized at the US Consulate Guangzhou. This allows them the ability to look at the documentation PRIOR to your interview. All Notarization need appointments. Schedule these during the time frame leading up to the interview. 2009-05-01
