I arrived at 9.50 my interview was at 10.30, I looked for the red tent located at the south entry point, there was a small que so I got in line. Once at the front I handed my passport over with my DS160 and then was directed inside to go through security like at the airport. Then I headed over to the main building where I lined up again and once inside I handed over the same documents, passport and DS160. I was then given a sticker this showed what number I was and what booths to sit on front of. I was then directed up the lift to level 1 and told to follow the immigrant arrow. Found my booth and sat down... once my ticket was called I approached the booth and handed over my documents in this order: Passport Birth certificate Police certificate Passport photos Adviate of support Then they took my finger prints and I was handed my chest X-ray and told to take a seat and wait again. This time I was waiting for my actual interview. I waited for about 20mins and could hear people getting approved... so nervous! Once my number appeared again I went up to another booth a bit like a bank but with more privacy and had my right hand finger prints taken again, the. I was told to swear to tell the truth... which o did. The lady was really lovely and friendly she asked: How did you guys meet? I told her a brief story that we met while I was travelling and how I’m a teacher so I was travelling the east coast for 6 weeks with my friends and we met and hit it off at the start of my trip. I said how my fiancé had managed to visit pretty often and how I had managed to visit him often too. The she asked where he lives and where we intend to live which I answered again.... then as she was typing she said Ok you are all set we are going to issue the visa and you should have it within 2 weeks.
