    Three years ago, I entered the US and became a permanent resident (after waiting (im)patiently for 9 months for the dang visa). Amazing how fast the time has gone!

      excellent thank you.. i was thinking to live/work in canada but over all it seems so complex (the process) and things seem very expensive

    Got a letter in the mail from USCIS. It was an "RFE" stating my second set of fingerprints for ROC was illegible and that I now have to go to my local police department and get a letter indicating I have no criminal record :(

    So, just got an "RFE" to get a letter of no criminal record from my local police department since my second set of fingerprints were illegible. Looks like my fingerprints suck just as bad as yours :(

    I'm through!!! Funny enough, I got the same officer who denied me the first time, three years ago. He pretty much instantly recognized me and we talked while he processed my paperwork. Took about 5 minutes, but I got through :)

      Lol, I'm not going INSIDE. I got my visa more than 2 years ago and have been living in the US. I'm just meeting people OUTSIDE the consulate.

    About to head out to the airport to fly to Canada later this afternoon! I'll be visiting the US consulate, again, this coming Monday to hang out with VJ members NikiR and A&C. Can't wait!!

    *sigh* Got a letter in the mail from USCIS saying they couldn't process my fingerprints, so I have to go back to get them re-done. The appointment is set for 9am (on 6/13) >_

      No idea. When I was getting mine done and was having problems, I was thinking of you the entire time thinking I'd get a RFE of sorts and have to get one done at a police station. No idea why I'm getting a second biometrics appointment and you didn't...

    Not only is it our third wedding anniversary today, but my attempt at an early biometrics walk-in was a success!! Great day! ^_^
