The specific process and requirements can vary depending on the country and the type of visa you are applying for. However, in general, after NVC approves all the documentation you have uploaded, the next steps typically involve the following:
NVC Case Complete: Once the NVC has reviewed and approved all your documents, they will deem your case as "NVC Case Complete." This means that they have verified that you have submitted all the necessary forms and supporting documents. Interview Scheduling: After your case is complete, the NVC will transfer your case to the U.S. embassy or consulate in your country. The embassy will then schedule an interview for you based on the availability of visa interview slots. The timing of the interview can vary, and it largely depends on the workload of the specific embassy or consulate. Interview Letter: Once the embassy or consulate has scheduled your interview, they will typically send you an interview letter or notification. This letter will provide you with the date, time, and location of your interview. It may also include any additional instructions or documents you need to bring for the interview. In most cases, you should not need to contact the embassy or consulate directly to request an interview date. Instead, you will typically receive communication from the embassy or consulate once they have scheduled your interview. However, if you have any specific concerns or questions about the process, it's best to consult the official website of the U.S. embassy or consulate in your country or reach out to their consular section for guidance.

Remember, this information is a general guideline as I am not an attorney or practice any law. This is just based on my experience.

Filed for my mom February 3, 2022, Potomac service center and still waiting. I tried to submit an inquiry this morning but it did not go through, says it is still within normal processing time.

Actually, I just went on the USCIS website to check the status just in case and I am seeing two approval notices in the "documents" section for both of my parents! Yayyy.🤩 It is a little odd that I didn't get notified and that the status says "actively reviewed by USCIS" with today's date, but I am happy anyway.🥳

Yes, that likely means they generated the Receipt Notice, basically confirming it was received. If you log in to your account and go to Documents (under each application), you should see the PDF there.

    45. Was the beneficiary EVER in the United States? - YES

46.a. He or she arrived as a (Class of Admission): B2

Then goes i-94 number, arrival and stay expired dates.

    Hope that helps.

Im sorry to hear about your problems, but before anything, you say you're married but talk about a K-1 Visa? Just clarify a bit on that please, K-1 are for fiancee (not yet married) couples. Perhaps you mistyped and it's K-3?
On the other hand, your responsibility is her and your son. She needs to understand that you cannot support her family, if she doesn't, then maybe she needs to reevaluate who comes first. Because to me, when you choose your partner in life, that's your #1.

No, the Cosmos folks. One episode was nearly dedicated to how much religion has done to limit the progress of science. While its true, its seems a little unnecessary for what they're trying to do. I watch lots of shows on the science channel that deal with the universe and they never touch on these things. Science is science, politics is something else. Just spend a little more time on what we know and what we think we know than how hard it was to get there. Trying to get more folks on board, not force them to choose.
This was my feeling too. The facts should speak for themselves. They do for me anyway.

I actually did return and speak with them yesterday (BTW, they open at 7:30, not 8:30) and everyone there agrees that I meet the official requirements 100% and that our case should have been decided differently. However, they can't review the cases once they are initially decided so we are out of luck. The only way to get a review to happen is to go through the State Department in Washington.
I came by my "vast" knowledge by reading the instructions and regulations that they have posted in several places on the State Department website. Those instructions are very specific and clear and I way, way over qualify and have the appropriate documentation as requested in those regulations.
Plus, your comment about making an "exception" in our case is ridiculous. We aren't asking for an exception, just asking that they apply the regulations that they give you when you apply. If I would have known that they don't accept assets nor current income and only go by the last 1040, or if I would have though that our case was going to be a close call in any way I would have sought a joint sponsor before applying to avoid this headache.

See, this is the kind of BS I can't stand for.
While I understand your sentiment, you are letting emotions prevail over actual law.
If he wasn't a citizen and his green card was revoked, then he's SOL.
But if he was a US citizen in the first place and just no one took notice, then it's a different matter as he should not have had a green card in the first place, nor should he have been deported, nor can he lose his status as a US citizen as you seem to imply.
So please get off your soap box. If you know anything about the law and feel like providing advice with a solid foundation in said law, do. If all you want to do is vent against criminals and foreigners, spare us.

DO NOT CALL USCIS, this is not a immigration question.
There is no funds from the state for a parents post parental leave. You and your wife should have plan and saved extra funds for this period of time.
You do not have to take your six weeks period of time a the same time your wife will be on post maternity leave. You can take it after the wife has gone back to work if so desire.
