  2. My opinion....

It has been 7 months since I have tied the knot with Anton, We have our ups and downs, I have wanted to leave him, but we have worked it out after a good night's sleep it looks better in the morning. There are things I don't agree with him on, but a marriage needs to be worked on and it isn't an easy thing. You never did say how long you have been married, what you basically think is wrong with the marriage.

Do you still love him? Does he love you? Do you visualize yourself growing old with this person or would you rather search the personals or internet for someone else.

If you can answer yes to the above questions continue with the interview. If you think this is not mister right, you do not feel committed to the relationship, you feel like you want to search elsewhere. Get out, go home , clear your mind and start over again.

Life is a rollercoaster its either going up waiting for the plunge or screaming and holding on for dear life.

  3. (F) I am sorry to hear about your mother's health, but glad to know you had no problems at the border, as my husband once he gets his card hopes to go back to Alberta without any problems to be with his 71 year old father for a couple of weeks.

    hugs,

  6. :crying: don't you hate it when you think you got a perfect situation and then your bubble bursts. Yesterday I thought i had a new fall school job in the bag, today I had the interview and was told we will call you in a few weeks as we don't even know what the situation will be in the fall with the job and our finances.

Well, I guess I will keep looking and not burn any bridges at my other job, even though the fantasy of turning in my two week notice this week was in the back of my mind.

  7. Hi everyone you saw my rant on Friday about my unbearable job, well I decided to go out looking.

I saw that another school district was hiring so went to apply. Where the job I am in now is just non-profit using the schools as a staging place for the program, this is a school district job.

I turned in my application and was immediately directed to the Executive Director, she immediately was impressed with my resume and application and called the director of the school needing help next year . Ihave a job interview tomorrow.

This would be a great job as it is very next door to the school where the kid I tutor goes as well as it paying more.

    Keep your finger's crossed.

    thanks,

    Moondancer

  8. Thanks for the replies, I have slept on it, had nightmares about my coworkers, ect....

    I have two options....

#1 I will look into a local nanny agency that sounds very flexible and pays well this week and really find out how flexible it is, because my husband just took a job 4 hours from Tucson in Flagstaff, where it's nice and cool and I want to spend time with him rather than slaving for this childcare company, yet I can't stop work cold.

So, if this nanny agency is as flexible as I have heard it is, I will put in my two weeks saying the reason is to join my husband in Flagstaff.

If the nanny agency is not flexible then I will lump out the summer.

Right at the moment the CDL is not part of my worrying. I did not sign a contract saying I would drive for them and they are so messed up with this issue anyway.

If I pay anything back it will be the $22.50 that they paid for my written test and driving test.

My other employer who is a very sweet lady and is a child pyschologist has already told me I am in the door to work for her at our school district as a teacher's aid for Austistic kids this fall. If I don't give my two weeks this summer I will be giving it after the summer is over.

  9. I assume your husband is the USC. I don't think you will need to fill out a new affidavit of support. The affidavit of support is basically an agreement that you the non USC will not recieve US financial help and if you do your husband will be responsible for paying it back.

As far as the birth cerficate, I took my original to the interview and our INS officer did not look at it.

Although I did have it out in front of her, I also had my passport along.

At our interview she was more interested in my husbands passport.

I would say go without the original copy especially if the copy is in your AOS , explain that you are in the process of obtaining an original copy and show the reciept from your order.

I know I ordered my original copy and it only took 7 days to get to me, I also think Vital Records in your home state would have an rush order. As I ordered mine from PA and just sent extra $.

    Good Luck,

    Moondancer

  10. I work for a child care program , non profit, takes care of school age kids at a local elementary school.

I have had ups and downs with this job, nearly quit once, but then Anton wanted to get his K-1 so I increased my time there from a part time sub, to full time again.

Now, I realize as long as we don't go to Welfare, the US government won't be monitering my job activity.

At least that's what I heard.

Work has become a place of slavery again. The supervisor is a micro management freak, and for the last 4 days has called me at 6:15 am to see if I am there, since her pet, my ex coworker quite two weeks ago to get married.

Then I am working on something with a parent, she walks in and says I'll take over now or grabs things I am working on out of my hands.

Today she said, you will need to stay later than normal so I said, Okay, then 15 minutes before my normal shift is over she calls and says you need to leave at noon. I said, can't I stay for 15 minutes to finish my shift out?

She says no, I need you to leave when I ask you too.

The biggie is this... I am the only employee who can drive a CDL licensed school van, so if I quit they are screwed on their field trips this summer, and I'd hate to let the kids down.

    I love the kids.

The company also paid for my driver's license and paid me for all my training time and expenses and they have told me if I quit before summer is over I will need to pay about $500 back to the company.

I have one friend telling me go and give my two weeks because these are threats and they didn't have me sign anything.

Another friend said , just ride it out till fall, cause Iwalk away with a Commercial Driver's license, and eveyone's happy .

    What would you do?

  11. Did your husband get one when he came into the US before you got married with the K-1? That one was good for 90 days only.

My husband applied for his and got his about a month ago, but his is good for 1 year, once he gets the green card the Green Card will be the work permit.

I would think they would be processed all in Missouri and be all good for 1 year, prior to getting the green card.

We haven't heard anything yet either, we had our interview about 3 weeks ago.

    Good Luck,

    Moondancer

  12. Talking about heat! Have you ever cooked in an oven. Today it hit 105 in Tucson, and 11% humidity.

My swamp cooler/ works on evaporation /works better than the kid I babysit's air conditioner. I am sitting here melting and the daym air conditioner is just running and running and running and it's about 85 in the house.

I will have to tell her mom when she gets home.

I have cool thoughts in my head since my husband took off Tuesday for cooler climates with my blessing, I was tired of seeing him suffer since he's from Alberta and hasn't spent extended amounts of time in the desert.

He got a lead on job in Flagstaff where it's 85 today rather than 105. I had alterior motives when I told him to go when we saw the job on line cause I can drive up on weekends to get out of the heat.

Flagstaff is about 4 hours N of Tucson.

Right now he's camping, but he'll be back to get his RV and go up for a few months.

At least tomorrow's friday and I am heading up Saturday to do a little backpacking for the weekend.
