So True!
Most of my phone calls are from telemarketers that I don't answer, I just look at caller ID.
Here's another the Internet is my entertainment.

I bet your not a woman, I was planning up to the minute before I was walking down the aisle....

As far as the time line goes 90-180 days is about it, depending on how long it takes for Police Checks, and all that Paperwork to get processed.
-
Congrats on such an easy process!good question? Let me know cause my husband got his his green card in July and I never thought about the conditions stated on the SS card. " Not without DHS authorization" or do companies just ignore that now?

We had our interview in May, they lost Anton's medical file/ immunizations. It took another month for them to find it, we got our Welcome Letter on June 26, and the actual green card on July 3.

My husband recieved his Visa July 05, he arrived in the States in Oct. 05, we married in Nov. 05, filed for AOS Feb 06, recieved green card July 06.
Just remember the closer the arrival date to the expire date on the K-1 the shorter of a time to plan for a wedding if you still are needing to plan..
The Visa is good only for 90 days entry into the US so you must marry before the 90 days expires.

A British version of Monopoly released this week ditches the Cash for a Visa imprinted Debit Card.
This version lets players type amounts into a palm sized scanner and pass their debit cards though the device.
Hasbro is considering a change here too.
Monopoly was first sold in 1935 during the Depression which gave players an escape from Financial woes and let them dream of being Real Estate moguls.
The techie version will be much neater without all the cash, but will it be fun?

I like the Swedish movie My Life as A Dog...

Bless me Father, for I have sinned. I suggested to Andy that he have a civil ceremony within 90 days to satisfy the visa requirements.
WHAT?! For your penance, you'll go up the Thirty-Nine Steps in Rome on your knees!
But then I told him to hold off on the honeymoon activities until he had the Sacrament of Matrimony whenever it was convenient.
Okay, then. For your penance, you'll drink watery American beer and eat mystery meat at Burger King for the next week.
Thank you, Father.
LOL.
I suggest that you do pick a tentative date with your church, since churches book up quickly, but also get married at the courthouse when your fiance' immediately arrives to start filing AOS paper work.
I see you are in the first stages of the K-1. It took us from October 04- July 05 to get approved for the K-1 and then another few months until my husband could quit his job and enter into the US to get married.
We got married in Nov. 05 and filed our AOS paperwork early Feb. 06 since I had to get 05's taxes in order for the affidavit of support. Green Card arrived in June this year.
Good Luck

It looks like you made a wise decision. Yes, my husband did work under the table before I met him from a friend he knew in the Granite business, but after we filed the paper work it wasn't worth the risk. I also heard from a neighbor of his up in Canada that she just volunteered for a while up in Seattle opening up a suntan shop every morning for free suntan sessions.
A INS officer did find out about it and she was deported just for volunteering, because she was taking the job away from a potential US citizen.

Unless you have something going on with your marriage or paperwork don't waste your money. AOS was overall very painless and quick.

Congrats and it's over. Ours was very stressful in May too. Although our immigration officer looked at us and interacted maybe way too much which scared the ^%#& out of me.

I don't have my own kids but take care of everyone elses kids from ages infant to 13 years old.
Here's my take on ages and stages.
Infant- not boring, need constant attention, and want to watch them when they are sleeping
Toddler- not boring need high speed energy to keep them out of trouble and comfortable
Preschool- still not boring, loves to learn and play games
K-2 grade- still not boring, still loves to learn, explore and play
3-5 grade- still not boring can get them outside to play ball, and bounce around with them
6th grade-up- Bored of you would rather be doing what they want you might as well be typing on visa journey which I do alot when I hang with the 12 year old going on 45.
Only time they are not bored with you is when she wants to go to the mall or get a ride somewhere.

I finally broke down and order DSL from Qwest our phone company, wow what a difference in clairity and speed Vs dial up. I would wait at least 60 seconds per post, now it's like 6 seconds.
Your pictures and avatars are sharp and crisp.
Anyone using dial up it's really worth it to get high speed internet.

I shopped at $1 stores and got a lot of cute things for our reception. Do you have a Costco? They have great flowers at reasonable prices I got 2 doz roses for $15 and bought a great cake there for $14 that served 25-50 people depending on how small you cut it.
The crystal bowls with floating flowers sound really pretty.
Good luck and just enjoy the day , cause when it all comes down to it it's the people you are with not what the decorations are.
In fact, if you asked most guests what I had as decorations at the wedding they would say I can't remember, but I can remember your cool ceremony and the fact that no one could find a lighter to light the unity candle.
