Yeah, it depends, everyone has their opinions on what you should an shouldn't do.

USCIS unfortunately doesn't know its left from its right so you'll hear one thing from one officer and another from a completely different person.  So you never know who to believe lol.

A lot of the cases I handle are I-212 and I-601s, along with I-485 and I-130s.  So when you're at that point, a lot has gone wrong before we can even apply for a green card for our clients.

In the end there's no rush for naturalization since the green card will be valid for 10 years.

No tracking ID. I get notification what’s arriving in my mailbox today. They also post pictures of the envelope. It shows packages and mail.  just make an account. https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/pages/intro/start.action

SRC applicant here. I just saw on USPS informed delivery mail images that I am getting an envelope from USCIS and it's most likely NOA.

I give up on updating that thing. I have added my name several times to the very most recent version, and somehow someone always manages to copy the wrong one. I imagine there are others as well.

I hate how the show manipulates everyone and everything. I hate how it cuts and cuts and cuts to make people look more stupid than they already look (sorry not sorry) and make it look K-1 is such an easy way to get in the States. This show gives 90% of us such a bad name. Yesterday, I was at a party and some girls turned to me after hearing I was from the Netherlands and giggly said, "Oh, so you're one of those 90 day fiances? LOL!" (Which technically I am but they associated me with the show, of course)

Really hope DHS, the government, immigration/USCIS have their eyes on some people like Mohamed. That guy deserved a kick in his butt back to Tunisia.

I'm sorry but I can't keep quiet on this point. Especially because this is one of, if not the most misunderstood thing about foreign dating. Internet dating is very different from the old fashioned "mail order bride" services. Guys don't order brides from a catalog anymore like they would a tie or suit from Sears. I would describe internet dating more like a virtual cafe, bar or (insert any public social situation) where you meet and hook up with different people. There is a world of difference between the two. In fact I'll take it one step further. Dating someone online domestically is for all intents and purposes the same as dating a foreign person. Only difference is the getting married part is a bit trickier. Now, if you were to say internet dating has replaced the outdated mail order bride services, I would agree.

It's reality TV. Not meant to be taken so seriously. I would hope most Americans know by now that "reality TV" has very little reality in it.

It's very badly researched by the production staff. It makes better television to say they have 90 days to decide if they want to marry or not when in reality a K-1 visa holder has 90 days to organise a legal wedding to the person they decided to marry before they even filed the paperwork. It's not a "try before you buy" visa.
Interesting that the premise mentions that the alien fiances are seeing the USA for the very first time. Again, it makes better television if the immigrant has never been on a plane before, never left their grandmother's house in an impoverished village in some remote mountains thousands of miles from the USA. When the reality is that many K-1 applicants (and I am assuming you fall into this category) have visited the country numerous times to see their loved one. Some even met when the alien was studying or working in the USA.
It's not meant to be informative of the process. It's meant to be shock TV.
It is frustrating for those who have dealt with immigration procedures to have the ordeal trivialised in this way. But what else do we expect from TLC?

For one its a show so they play it up for the ratings and to get people to watch.
The rules are the rules for everyone and they had to pay same fees as us and have proof of a relationship.
Now how it plays out on tv or how they edit it to look it another story.
I am yet to see the couple that decided to go home day 90....

Writing through my wife's account again--- I also want to add, that Africa is 54 nations and thousands of tribes within those nations. And even within those thousands of tribes there are millions of individual characters and traits. To label ALL OF AFRICA to say that "AFRICANS need this, and do that" is so disrespectful. And I thank God my wife refers to me as "her husband" --- and not "her African." smh My blood is boiling reading one posters use of "they do this and they do that" . And ENGLISH IS ENGLISH. If it does not sound like English to you, then I don't know what to tell you.

I have to say, this makes me SO sad to read. My fiance is from Nigeria and is one of the most financially responsible, understanding and accepting man of all of the TRUTH of my past- no lies and no withholding. I'm sorry that you have made up your mind that those types of men don't exist, but it's called maturity- and it IS out there! I hope your man matures up to where you can trust him with the truth about you and he becomes responsible with finances enough to trust him! That's what marriage is all about!
And yes, African men love to provide for their families and EVERY man likes to feel good and adequate around their women, but there's no reason "all hell should break lose" when you don't stroke their ego.
On the other hand, my fiance always says "I've heard you", bahaha! It makes me laugh! That's okay though, because sometimes I get him back in his own language, lol "Mo ti gbo!"

read both posts. I have been divorced twice. I have learned many things. give and take. I can't always have my way, he can't always have his. He will work my nerves, I will work his. in life a person is not guaranteed happiness . one has to make him herself happy. domination from either side of maintaining a false happiness free of any real emotional contact or a relationship based on work that can go thru fire.

Sounds like you were refused because you didn't show strong enough ties to home country. Unless you add in more evidence you most likely may be refused again.
Consider collecting more proof of your return...maybe a letter from ur employer if you have worked there a long time, etc. you need a stronger case.
    Best of luck.

    HEAR HEAR dwheels76!!! HEAR HEAR!!!!!!!
Ignore the judgments and FOCUS on the issue at hand. The bottom line is they didn't believe what was presented to them. This is where the REALLLLLLL fight begins.
When my now husband & I first got on VJ, he asked a question about our "red flags" and "How should I answer this question?" (we had many and very serious ones). VJ members POUNCED on him and told him it sounded like he was a fraud, etc. etc. etc. We were pretty new on the the site too and were literally just beginning our process and really didn't have much of a clue as to what to expect. After he posed the question I remember thinking... "WOW... These folks are HECKA harsh!"
We decided to take the constructive in the thread (whether good or bad). We also realized that people do NOT know your heart or what is going on in your life.. and to be frank and honest.. these CO's do not really care. Their job is to recognize fraud. Also, because they're human and see people breaking the law often, it can be very subjective.
As dwheels76 has basically said, and what I would add.. is cry now and put your knowledge armor on tomorrow. It's time to get to work. If you and your husband really want you to come here.... then it's going to be a fight... and you have to be ready for the long grueling hall that is going to come. Hopefully when they see you and your husband (and family) and MEAN what you say and you have evidence and conviction to prove it, I pray it will all work out for you.
My biggest advice is BE READY FOR ANYTHING. I know that sounds very ambiguous and I'm sorry, but be ready for anything.
Sending GOOD VIBES AND BEST WISHES for you and your family.... Good luck and keep your head up!!!!

To assume fraud from the few posts by OP that lack details, just because the country is Ghana is stereotypical speculation, even though Ghana is a high
    fraud country.
They split 13 years ago, he married a USC and the gap of when he divorced the USC and rekindled the relationship with the OP we don't know.
If he was married to the USC for 10 years then that seems to be a genuine good faith marriage. It is not against the law to marry someone from
your own country if things with a USC don't work out IF THE MARRIAGE WAS IN GOOD FAITH. If they can prove it in response to the
NOID/NOIR then she will be approved. End of drama.

I must admit I am the worlds biggest cynic, the fact this whole story sounds completely dodgy is just my opinion, but we have to remember one thing
This case made it to interview...................there must have been a level of conclusive evidence to get this far?
Or are we/me missing something here?

I am human and so far I have been very honest, those praising the co should go ahead and worship him too, I have done nothing wrong here.. I dated a guy back in the 90's and after having my first child for him his family came to see my family that yes their son is responsible for my baby and they made my parents aware that they will come and perform the necessary rites later. They only presented some few drinks and that was it. No engagement no wedding!!! I went ahead to have two more kids with this same man and in my last pregnancy we went our separate ways..he later travelled to the states in 2003 and moved on with his life. It's only normal for him to look after his kids and I see nothing wrong with all those mean comments some of you were saying. He came back in 2010 after so many years to see his kids and then again the following year and about twice again before we got married in 2013. I am very much ok here and it's not like if I move to us I will start plucking dollars from the trees or pick the ground. I asked for advice and ppl are attacking me and judging me. I shared my story to let u all know what is going on these days and am sure there are dozens out there with a similar case to mine. Am out

Don't worry right now about complaining. It's a common thing after so long out the US every citizen has to show they are domiciled in US. So just focus on getting your proof together. There are many here who live abroad with their spouse.
Once they have your evidence they will review and verify. No one can tell you how long it will take that's their call. Could be weeks. So get your list together.
You need to show where are you going to live? His work? I would assume you now have to provide a joint sponsor? Aside from the list they sent you here are some ideas he can gather to get his evidence. The faster you move the faster you can get a interview and approved.
