  8. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/may/22/two-israeli-embassy-staff-shot-dead-near-washington-dc-jewish-museum-homeland-security-secretary Spokesperson at the Israeli embassy in Washington Tal Naim Cohen said the staff members were shot at close range while attending a Jewish event at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington DC. “We have full faith in law enforcement authorities on both the local and federal levels to apprehend the shooter and protect Israel’s representatives and Jewish communities throughout the United States,” she said. FBI Director Kash Patel said he and his team had been briefed on the shooting. “While we’re working with [Metropolitan Police Department] to respond and learn more, in the immediate, please pray for the victims and their families,” he wrote on X. Danny Danon, Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, called the shooting a “depraved act of antisemitic terrorism.” Police offered no details late Wednesday night on a potential motive for the shooting. A news conference was expected later Wednesday. (Numerous Media sources have reported that shooter shouted Free Palestine)
  9. That does not sound tight how would you get one if your parents were no more.
  10. Usually they are passably generous initially, houses to sell, things to wind up. Job hunting having obtained a work based immigrant visa would be an interesting conversation. Plus of course usually Employers want to see you are around and available.
  11. Inevitably dealing with Third Country Nationals will raise more challenges.
  12. New one on me, who would be filing a N400 and not have a SSN?

  14. There is what the Feds do and what States do. California and Ny certainly have been very generous expanding cover using their own funds.
  15. I am not familiar with Canadian Law and took the 6 months as a given, could you post under what code you were found guilty and the appropriate link?
  16. As far as I am aware there has been no study why people applied for the CNHV programme. I would think most have no valid asylum claim, Some I have seen have come for expensive medical treatment Some have used it as a tourist visa with benefits Many seem to have no idea what you need to do to qualify for asylum. Some have just come for a better life, thinking it would be forever extended or not thinking what would happen after 2 years I would have thought most Ukranian have no asylum claim, I remember one early case where it was being used as a shortcut to CR1, the lady had move to Turkey a very long time ago, but still had a residence in Ukraine, well an address she could use. Others left they their countries decades ago. And anyway if you did not come up in the lottery element you had years to wait, not that consistent with needing to flee. Obviously Cubans could chill for a year and adjust under the CAA, the logic of which escapes me. They did block Cubans with EU passports doing the same via the VWP. And of course for these programmes everyone of the nationality qualified, even if you were part of the ruling Junta. Make it make sense.
  17. I assume you are good to go.
  18. I have not come across a lawyer who just does waivers, normally they would handle the whole case
  19. I would have thought any Lawyer would be able to do that.

  21. A bit confusing, E2s are usually issued for 2 years so I can’t work out your dates The company you previously worked for on an E2 wants to reemploy you? Work visas generally are much quicker than spouse visas
  22. The children do not have to move but a US residence and job would no doubt help.
