  1. I forget the prcise numbers but remember reading an article in the Guardian? about the increase in the unemployed numbers in Fermany an extra million? which seemed to be totally migrants. So it depends, certainly in the US a lot of the costs are split between different levels of government so for example there may be no sigificant cost at the Federal level but there is at the State or lower levels. Plus of course many other factors that are not directly economic.
