  1. There is an old saying a little knowledge is dangerous, you need to read all of the regulations.
  2. Writ of Mandamus? For most people a Lawyer would be needed but as he only interviewed this month a bit premature.
  3. That is a factor for you but not the US Government.
  4. I never like to give absolutes on timing as there always seems to be exceptions but just getting an I 130 approved in 4 months would be a miracle.
  5. Why would they think they would switch from one Religion to another? Especially when it is hierarchical and you are no longer at the top?
  6. File the I 130 through the Lockbox.
  7. LA Time but here is an easy to access link: https://news.yahoo.com/muslims-status-political-punching-bag-100050102.html#:~:text=LA Times-,As Muslims' status as political punching bag fades%2C some, are fighting against LGBTQ%2B acceptance&text=For months%2C hundreds of religious, families to elementary school kids. I thought this was hilarious: It all bewilders some who say they supported Muslims when they were under attack from the far-right and now feel betrayed. "When they wanted to broadcast their call to prayer from mosques, we defended them. When they were being hit with hate crimes, we stood by them, and we opened our arms when they were refugees," said Russ Gordon, who was kicked off the Hamtramck Human Relations Commission this year after he defied the flag ban. "We live in America, but this feels like a theocracy." Muslims were once reliable allies in a coalition of racial, religious and sexual minorities courted by the left. The umbrella grew after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, and hit a stride during the Trump presidency as policies and pronouncements from the White House targeted each group with regularity. Now, some of the 3.5-million followers of Islam in the U.S. are speaking out on topics where their conservative take on the faith more closely aligns with Republican politics. "The Muslim leadership post-9/11 got so afraid, everyone got so scared, [saying:] 'Our visas are going to be revoked, we're going to get kicked out of the country, we're going to have to move somewhere else...," he said. "So people are like, 'Let's just team up just with anybody who is willing to talk to us.' Not thinking about the long-term consequences. And when we look at that in retrospect, that was a huge mistake, and now it's coming back to bite us."
  8. This could have gone in 2 threads but I think the focus is more Chicago corruption
  9. There seems a lot of backtracking and diving for cover going on. I am intrigued as to what he was doing there, not an obvious thing for a 98 year old to do on a day out. I still can not get my head around how someone did not do a two second mental check.
  10. You have to declare a refused visa on the ESTA application, you may or may not be denied ESTA.
  11. He finds an Employer willing to sponsor him.
  12. AP is normal for everyone, AP for Iranians seems to take longer, no doubt it is much more difficult carrying out checks.
  13. I thought this was a fascinating story. Now obviously there were Ukrainian Partisans who fought the Germans, fought the Russians and fought both, it was tricky situation. But this guy joined the Waffen SS, now as far as I am aware the Galacian Division never fought on the Western front, so not against Canadians and surrendered in Austria, but really? https://torontosun.com/news/local-news/warmington-a-nazi-being-cheered-in-the-house-of-commons-a-dark-day I know they were nearly wiped out at Brody and rebuilt, he would have been c20 in 1945. How can they have this lack of basic history? Now how they got to Canada is a story in itself.
  14. You can not apply for anything that will be down to your future spouse
  15. Yuck auto correct
  16. You cannot never from an existing 1 130 or file a straight I 360. Depends where you are in the process.
  17. Well you need to marry first before anything can be filed
  18. I know the basics, they pop up on here infrequently. They often seem to involve PI presumably because of age differences
  19. I would have thought that pretty much everybody who could has. I thought the dates did not overlap?
  20. The expedites I have seen were when the petitioner naturalised, certainly try but do not expect anything. In this case it seems the OP wanted to petition step son but did not file an I 130.
