  1. I did not go that way, but I think the I 551 is all they need immigration wise, plus proof of identity and residency. Most States issue a list showing what is required.
  2. C of E criticised for asylum-seeker conversions after bomb suspect’s confirmation revealed THE Church of England has come under heavy criticism for a “naïve” approach to the conversion of asylum-seekers, after one supposed convert, Emad al Swealmeen, is suspected of blowing himself up in Liverpool on Remembrance Sunday. Al Swealmeen, aged 32, a refugee from the Middle East, died when, the police say, his home-made bomb exploded in the back of a taxi parked outside Liverpool Women’s Hospital, at about 11 a.m. The driver was injured and taken to hospital. Four men arrested under the Terrorism Act on Monday have since been released without charge. No motive has yet been revealed for the incident. It later emerged that Al Swealmeen, also known as Enzo Almeni, converted to Christianity and was confirmed in Liverpool Cathedral in 2017. A picture has been released of Al Swealmeen smiling beside an assistant bishop, the Rt Revd Cyril Ashton, after the confirmation service. The Bishop of Liverpool, the Rt Revd Paul Bayes, told the Radio 4 Today programme on Tuesday: “It could have been me or any other of my colleagues. . . Confirmations are happy occasions, and you don’t think that this kind of awful future might lie in store. We pray for everybody that we confirm and welcome, and one of the things we pray for them is that they will grow up in holiness and wisdom. Sadly, in this man’s case that does not seem to have happened.” https://www.churchtimes.co.uk/articles/2021/19-november/news/uk/c-of-e-criticised-for-asylum-seeker-conversions-after-bomb-suspect-revealed-to-have-been-confirmed
  3. CR1 is 2 years so I think the first one was correct. Do you have an ADIT stamp I 551. https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/form-i-9-related-news/temporary-status-documentation-for-lawful-permanent-residents-lpr
  4. Certainly the medical hopefully the Consulate will extend the visa
  5. The one thing the US is not short of is Immigration Lawyers, at least one has been mentioned. www.aila.org as well
  6. Are not PI applicants told the process? She had her medical 6 months ago?
  7. Sort of reminded me of that guy in Dublin a few months ago that set off the riots. I listen to BBC Radio 5 Live, LBC and the local CWR, and Sky News I get on the TV and it has been ongoing over this week and yes there are questions that have not been answered, The Christianity thing is SOP, there was a big fuss about some Terrorist in Liverpool that had gone that way and someone investigated it and found no end of similar cases involving the Diocese of Liverpool, they seem to re convert once they have ILR. There was a lawyer on this morning, missed the first bit, but handles these cases and saying that some things, who knows what that would block and asylum claim. Due to the horrific nature of the injuries and that there were children involved this is going to be hard to bury.
  8. This has been all over the UK media for the last week, have not seen it mentioned here. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2024/feb/02/police-seize-items-at-address-linked-to-man-suspected-of-chemical-attack-in-london Police seize items at address linked to man suspected of chemical attack in London Scotland Yard appeal for Abdul Ezedi to hand himself in after seizing empty bottles with corrosive warning labels at address in Newcastle. Detectives said the mother remained under sedation after suffering “life-changing injuries”, but her children are not thought not to be in as perilous a position as first feared. The incident took place at about 7.30pm on Wednesday in Clapham, south London. CCTV footage showed a man running around a car before getting into the driver’s seat, with a woman and child in front of the vehicle holding their hands to their faces. A total of five search warrants were executed; two in east London and three in Newcastle. The containers were found at one of the latter. He obtained asylum despite an interesting criminal history which sorts of answers Dashinka's question of the other day. He was convicted of a sexual offence. He was placed on Sex Offenders Registry https://uk.news.yahoo.com/clapham-alkaline-attack-what-we-know-144113638.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAHY-H875hGI_yEpuBvObKBKNtbSO1Q3bEfyqvJsI0R0lPeXSO2pAsgsQyXMin2QkKOltQSKjs8cjZE-E96i4FzwGzOe7Bw6PU7dLeaZFrQ1PxqAca6IyeiGWRpb2OsPlNQXVBy2zlj6_ArEEMKRUX-DL98XlCGTedDi2Dy0v3b7q
  9. There are other options, but probably TPS is the most likely
  10. She was on his show a couple of times and I am not sure now but would be in the comments quite often.
  11. There is a Nigerian Lady who has appeared on Hacking who got a EB2 NIW through London, I did not think she had much of a chance based on what she said but got it.
  12. From what I have seen it is normal for Indian Parents of USC's to travel with their documentation. The Civil Surgeon can undertake a titre test/administer needed vaccinations.
  13. No I would strongly suggest you employ a competent Immigration Lawyer.
  14. Actually H1b just requires a degree. And even that can be got around. Getting an Employer willing and of course assuming it is a Lottery case being lucky is the hard part.
  15. Oops India, I may be optimistic with my assumptions.
  16. I would expect the F4 to be the fastest route. Sometime in the mid late 2050's would be a reasonable assumption. So essentially your Brother would be close to retirement. Children will no doubt age out but they could well have their own families by then. Best bet is to file it, diary for 20 years and then see how things are.
  17. I would use your US address and a US phone number as they are likely to bin applications otherwise.
  18. Safe bet will be to go for a Joint, for the son it may not matter but hopefully the mother will be interviewed soon.
  19. So you have someone in mind?
  20. Different state different time but when I came in my State the wording was vague and it seemed I could drive for a year with my DL. They changed it to 90 days when everything was redrafted, and now it says 30 days. EAD was the first thing I got that was on their list but back then I think I got it in 6 weeks so not really an issue. I assume K1s are a small minority and I doubt that they drive any of the rules. When I was in the DMV there was a lady ahead of me who was trying to get a DL based on her having a J but on that trip had entered on a B, with language etc issues I do not think the guy was explaining it well and was tempted to step in, but did not.
  21. There is no mention of them issuing one on a K!. I had to go to my DMV recently, took several weeks to get an appointment, you can no longer turn up and wait. So lets say a best case scenario and they will you would get learners permit and then take the test and then get a full DL which would expire 90 days after entry assuming that had not past. Michigan seems to just require you to do this as soon as possible there is no grace period.
  22. They will no longer be included
