These are the items I sent and what my fiance also brought to interview.
Pictures from March 2011, July 2011, Dec. 2011, July 2012, Jan. 2013 (about 60 total)
Cell phone records from 2010 til now about 2 sheets from each month iwth his number highlighted
Our relationship history
Copies of all passport pages
Birth certificate with my name on it for his son whom I have adopted
Bank account in Ghana with both our names
Papers from ownership of a Taxi we own together in Ghana
Records of money sent to him in Ghana from my account to OUR joint account
and of course all items required for the 129F visa itself.
They asked him two questions and ask him to bring more evidence of our relationship on September 12. #######??? Going to Ghana to me means going to visit everyone at home and it costs a lot of money when I visit so it is not just the price of a ticket and hotel.
I am soooo upset and do not know what to do. We have spent money on planning our wedding in September because I thought an interview in July would give me enough time to get him here by September. What else do they want?

9 FAM 41.81 N6.3 Reissuance of K-1 Visa(TL:VISA-2; 08-30-1987)If a K-1 visa, valid for a single entry and a 6-month period, has already been used for admission into the United States and the alien fiancé(e) has returned abroad prior to the marriage, the consular officer may issue a new K visa, provided that the period of validity does not exceed the 90th day after the date of initial admission of the alien on the original K visa and provided also that the petitioner and beneficiary still intend and are free to marry. The alien’s return to the United States and marriage to the petitioner must take place within 90 days from the date of the original admission into the United States in K status.



I went through this reissuance of K-1 Visa before.



- Contact your US consulate for advice, to see if they will reissue the K-1 Visa.

- You have to resubmit all the paperwork (I-134), new medical checkup, new police record according to the K-1 visa checklist.

- Schedule the interview and pay all the fees again.



All these must happen before the 90th day from the 1st date of entry to US.

I found this on the USCIS website: "The current edition is dated 06/13/13. (USCIS will accept editions dated 06/22/12, 11/23/10, 06/14/10, and 02/19/10 until September 16, 2013. After September 16, 2013, we will only accept the 06/13/13 edition.)"

I had the same feeling. I teach in a small southern town and people don't understand me and I even had parents tell me "What? Why can't you speak American"
I learned that it is not my problem, it is theirs. You just need to be patient and don't change yourself to fit into their mold.

To think this sometimes is the first government experience that people from all over the World experience just to be happy or a family in America!! WOW The whole immigration system is a joke, and a disgrace. There's no consistency, no humanity, forget compassion or understanding. Your just a greenback and a number.
Don't get me wrong, I have long overcome my lack of patience with this system. Because if I hadn't I would have gone cuckoo with this process. In the beginning I think I did a little. LOL. ( 3 years running) This by far has been the roughest, most taxing, trial that I have ever been through. Giving up careers, children, family, money... all for the American Dream of, Marriage 2.5 kids a dog and a white picket fence... HA!
The biggest shame.. and disgrace.. is this is what the country was made from!! Immigration!! But to think about the mounds of paperwork that immigration has to go through...and to have no rime or reason to THIS system is scary. How in the world can they keep out who they want to? Or let in who they should? When they have no idea where your file is? Who has it? How long it will take for someone to look at it? AGAIN.... How can they keep out who THEY SHOULD?!?!?
Cause that's the whole point! Right? Keep us safe? Keep out the Bad guys/people? ... LOCKS ONLY KEEP OUT GOOD PEOPLE!! Honest People!! Bad people.. don't use locks! What a joke.
Then to hear/ read all the stories about.. ohhhh.. She was "one hell of an actress". or. "he used me to come"..( I know... cause I was one of them years ago) Divorce.. shortly after Greencard stories. sigh... People barely knowing each other and getting married .. to divorce shortly after getting here. What a mess!.
I personally have one hell of a back story! Speaking from experience at the Stress that this process puts people threw.
I voted for the current president cause I truly hoped that... this immigration system would get better. HA! I feel so bad for ALL OF US... No matter what the story is, no matter what the situation is... GOOD BAD UGLY AND LONG!! I FEEL SO SORRY for all the HEARTBREAK that everyone is going through. Again...So sad that USA immigration is such a joke.. and FAMILY and HAPPINESS can be truly shattered. Yes, it's normal for it to 'linger' between NVC and the embassy for 3-4 weeks due to entering data into the system.

I understand your position and appreciate the candor. I am the organized one and happen to be the petitioner and the "nagging" one also so I am taking the lead in this process. My fiance has a laid back attitude and waits untll the last minute for everything so this has truly been an exercise in patience for me so far. As previously suggested by the other posters I suggest whomever is the organizer and task-oriented one should take the lead on this one just for the sake of peace and to avoid any headaches. My fiance is great at talking me "off the ledge" when I am overwhelmed so it balances out in the end.

YAY!!! I was approved yesterday and did not even know it. Thanks to everyone and best of luck to all those who had been waiting before me and those who are still waiting. I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you.

Maybe I missed it in your narrative but the most convincing evidence of your relationship with her would be a birth certificate naming you as her father, a DNA test proving you are her father or in absence of these, a notarized statement from her naming you as her legal/birth father. My thoughts exactly.

I did not meet my fiance online but I find most of the content of your post very insulting and uncalled for. You can disagree with anyone at anytime but being a brute and stereotyping speaks to your lack of understanding and compassion. By the way, what is your preferred method of meeting a potential mate? Your family reunion, a bar, your street corner?

Maybe this is just a trend of the times but I am very embarrassed and troubled with the vitriol and responses we give to each other on this thread. I am not the moderator of anything here or anyone of authority but I still want to voice my opinion on this. I know everyone is beyond frustrated due to wait times, problems with long distance relationships, etc. but we still need to remain civilized. For those who still do not know what I am talking about here is an example: CSC sucks (Okay), Your mother is a two-headed goat (not okay).

Thanks for the advice regarding living together before making a commitment. I have actually known him almost all my life because our families are so close and we actually thought we were related growing up. We were like fric and frac and so close (best friends) almost all pictures of me include him and vice versa from my childhood. Anyway, I stay with him or he stays with me and my family when I visit home but I still do not think that is enough to find out everything I would like at this point. Maybe I am just gun shy since I have been married twice already and divorced both times because they turned out to be different people as soon as we got married. For this reason, I had applied for a tourist visa for him to come stay with me for a while before I applied for a K1 or CR1. He still my best friemd amd will forever be in my life no matter what but I am determined to make this marriage work and hence my questions and asking for advice from people. We are also scheduled for pre-marital counseling at our family church when I visit next month. I just want to be the best wife I can possibly be and not give up like I am prone to do.
