Got back from visiting recently-approved QA ma'am's capital with the pretty Russian girl. Had a great time there. But after spending yesterday at home in San Diego, have to work today.
 
Also we seem to have had pretty good luck with weather on our travels. High 60s in St. Petersburg in the first week of May. Low 70s in Vienna in October. And no rain either place.

Once you've exhausted other options and it has been an ongoing problem for years, is there any alternative?  Once the discs are gone or degraded to a certain point, you are just going to get the bones rubbing on the nerves.  I suppose you could also just wait it out until your nerves are completely desensitized to the pain, which could take a couple of years or more.

I really want one of those newfangled domesticated foxes.  We used to have some that hung out with my Irish setter and would come for snacks whenever we grilled.

I've got to say that I love how much more my daughter's school teaches practical skills than we got as children.  This week they are practicing good 911 call techniques with the fire fighters, a couple of weeks ago they learned fishing, and in the past they've taught them CPR, brought them out to farms to teach them safety with AG equipment, how to grow vegetables  at home, etc.

Lady in town is having Irish twins, two different fathers and advertised today that she wants an in-home nanny for the first one for $100/week and for both children for $200/week.  This, in an area that as an unemployment rate close to zero and even menial jobs are paying $14/hr with benefits.  Get real, other women got on childcare waiting lists when they were trying to conceive.   🙄

It's a good one. I have a non beer batter recipe I use when there's no beer in the house. I could still use this one but the other is yummy too. 
My oldest boy likes to use the extra batter for onion rings. He says it works well for that too.
