Reynal2m got a reaction from AKOWE in Online I-130 - We have taken action on your case
Hello VJ,
I hope you're doing well.
My partner and I recently submitted our I-130 online on March 26th, 2024, with our service center being in California. Recently, my partner received an email from USCIS indicating that they have taken action on our case. However, upon checking the status, documents, and progress bars, we noticed that nothing has changed. Additionally, we submitted the K3 application one week later after our I-130 application but have not received any updates on that front yet.
Interestingly, in a WhatsApp group that we are part of, some individuals who filed their I-130 between March 25th and 27th, 2024, have reported receiving the same email.
Regards,

Hi @Reynal2m we filed on March 28th 2024 at Texas service centre and we received an email same time as you saying "We have taken an action on your case".
Can you DM me with details of the WhatsApp group you mentioned
Cheers

the action would be that your documents have been fed into the computer system
now, u just wait till an officer opens the case and starts a real review (6 to 12 months from now)
further updates (if u get any) may also say actively reviewed
this happens when an officer reviews paperwork to ensure all documents are there, all are signed properly and if anything is missing an RFE is sent (RFE is really nothing to worry about )
when officer gets any document(s) the case is actively reviewed again to download new document as the computer generates the "actively reviewed" notice

Also, make sure you are using Adobe Acrobat Reader for the PDF version. Other PDF reader messes up the information.

Yes, many say there are blanks when they try to view the form
if u put them in, they should appear to USCIS
keep your copy in case RFE is recd/ always keep a copy of all things submitted for immigration

Discovered some helpful videos, but they won't consider reviewing the petition unless they handle the entire case.

That might be tricky, Lawyers generally will handle a case or not.

@Reynal2m most lawyers and form preparers want to take on the entire case. They aren’t interested in just reviewing the forms and they will have to double check and confirm the information you inputted which means it will take as much work as just reviewing the form.
Your partner could probably find a free service in their city to double check the submission.
Hacking does not review forms on his YouTube show though. So I would not call in to double check your answers are correct.
ETA: Usually what happens with lawyers and form preparers is that you provide them the information, they complete the forms and put together the package then YOU review the final package for accuracy/ any mistakes.

If you're just looking for some assistance, nonprofits that help immigrants might be able to help. Sometimes they work with pro bono lawyers and offer that kind of review/help for free. Usually large urban areas have such resources.

Dear VJ Forum Members,
I hope this message finds you all in good spirits.
I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your invaluable support and assistance throughout our I-130 journey. Your insights, advice, and shared experiences have been immensely helpful, and I am truly grateful for the sense of community and camaraderie we have here.
As we move forward in this process, I find myself in need of some professional guidance. I am currently seeking recommendations for a lawyer who is experienced in immigration matters and can offer their services to review our I-130 petition before we submit it. If any of you have had positive experiences with such legal professionals or have any recommendations, I would greatly appreciate your input.
Once again, thank you all for your continued support and assistance. Together, we can navigate this journey with confidence and resilience.
Warm regards,
Reynaldo & Renzo

Reynal2m reacted to Redro in K3 Visa question - Form I129F
So you don’t have to worry about the records for DS260. These records only matter if you file the I129F for K3.
Im sure you’re aware you need to file the I130/I130a BEFORE you mail in the I129F because you need to include I130 receipt. Personally, I’ve not seen a lot of successful K3s pushing the I130 to approval… and the most successful ones have been when the I130 was at Potomac AND the I129F was filed after a month…. But, the K3 hack doesn’t always work. So, if filing the petition is being delayed because you don’t have the documentation for I129F I personally wouldn’t delay any longer.
ETA good luck I wish you a speedy approval.

Reynal2m got a reaction from Family in K3 Visa question - Form I129F
So essentially, he has to request the sentencing and minutes/disposition from the Miami Dade Court and attach a copy of the "No Record sheet" along with all the documents mentioned above?
Thanks again.

Reynal2m reacted to Boiler in K3 Visa question - Form I129F
He did not keep any of the documentation relating to the original proceedings?
Did he use a Lawyer, would they have something?

Reynal2m reacted to Family in K3 Visa question - Form I129F
The 2001 doc indicates case in criminal Div , while the 2008 shows case being ‘open expunge ‘ is in traffic ..are case number the same on both docs?
By looks of it , records were unsealed specifically for DHS/ immigration purposes. He cleared that hurdle be it winning in removal or naturalization, so no big worries.
He should run his own FBI prints to show any arrests, make a request now to Miami Dade Court for sentencing minutes/disposition , even though it will. come back No Record. Attach the copies in your post with a SHORT description.

Reynal2m reacted to Chancy in I-129F Can't enter information where it is required.
Are you using Adobe software to edit the form? If not, download the form from the official USCIS page, then edit using Adobe. If you are using Adobe and still having issues, just hand-write those entries after you print the form.

Reynal2m reacted to Killowatts in Form I-129F - Some fields cannot be filled in
Thanks, K&N2609 for your suggestion. It's nice to see some members who take the time to read, understand and try to offer assistance rather than folks who rack up post count with useless, flippant replies. I did pull down Acrobat free Reader and it confirmed that those fields are simply locked by the original author of the form, for whatever reason.
Hence, the reason for posting (and yes, for those Captain Obvious parrots out there, I did search prior) was to see if someone similar to myself with IT savvy had taken the time/effort to go back and re-engineer a version of the form where those fields were unlocked as desired.
Not having received any replies to that nature, I'll look into doing it myself once I rustle up a full copy of Acrobat. If and when I finish it, I'll be sure to share it with folks in the future!
Until then...
