Two places are being difficult.

No.1 After answer the question (Part 1 Line 37) Yes I've been previously married  Lines 38a - 39 will not allow me to enter any information.

It doesn't seem right to enter my previous marriages in Part 8 additional Information when it is clearly marked for me to fill out 38a thru 39 for at least my first marriage. I would imagine that the second divorce would go in part 8 additional information.

No.2 same problem required information is not allowing me to enter information again.

Part 1 additional information Line 43 is answered Yes I have filed another I-129F But where I'm supposed to enter the information (Line 44, 45a, 45b, 45c and 46 are all blocked so I can't enter the required information.

What gives? This should be straight forward but it isn't.

Yes I'm using the USCIS I-129F form. OMB No. 1615-0001 Expires 03/31/2024

Are you using Adobe software to edit the form?  If not, download the form from the official USCIS page, then edit using Adobe.  If you are using Adobe and still having issues, just hand-write those entries after you print the form.

I don't understand how Adobe plays into this. I did initiate the I-129F process of filling out the form directly from USCIS site. It's not a download per say. It's more of going to the USCIS site and going to the link to initiate the process of filling out the interactive form. So while I'm filling out the form it's still connected to the USCIS site.

If you opened the form from the link on the USCIS web page, your browser has opened the form in whatever application is used by your browser.  As per a previous reply here, download the form and open specifically with an Adobe app.

Tell me this. Can the form be submitted directly from the USCIS site. Or do I still need to print it out then snail mail it to the Dallas Lockbox?

To answer previous question, if something won't let you type in even with Adobe Acrobat, you can print out the form and fill in with pen. I think I had to do this with a phone number iirc.

And yes, snail mail only to Dallas Lockbox (so don't forget to include the electronic communication consent form). NOA1 should come in under a month, NOA2 in 13-14. Only I-130 lets you submit and respond to RFEs online.

Edit: I see the confusion about Adobe. Filing it out on the USCIS website I don't think lets you save the document, so it's easier to just download and open it with Acrobat. The form is formatted for use with Adobe so if you're encountering weird glitches that could be the problem.

Yup, that's why I asked this question. If I can only snail mail then if the form doesn't let me enter something it's only a minor inconvenience. As I can write in prior to mailing. Thanks for clearing this up.

Thanks, I'll try that.

I forgot to mention that another alternative is to use one of the online sites that will let you upload a PDF and add edits wherever you want.  Of course, with these you have to understand that you are losing control over your information.  I can't remember if it was the I-129F, but we had some trouble getting a lengthy Thai address in the Thai character set entered into the downloaded PDF and went this route.

Ya I can see the dilemma as I don't understand Thai and they don't seem to have normal work breaks. Anyway thanks for the info!
