  1. OK, both will probably age out but all you can do is wait and see. You just add them in section 4.
  2. This thread is for those that filed in March 2023, if you search you'll probably find a similar thread for your Priority Date. Good luck.
  3. His spouse will be a derivative on his application. Children should be added as derivatives too, but are likely to age out. You say they're under 21, but how old are they? And which country are they from?
  4. Definitely sign up for Informed Delivery! It's free and invaluable for peace of mind when tracking important docs, and you'll have lots more reason to use it with your AOS application etc.
  5. Have you got Informed Delivery so you can see when it's on the way?
  6. That's what the WOM is about. But after only 6 months they're unlikely to have completed all of the background checks needed to make a decision on your case, especially if you're self petitioning and from a high risk country. Basically, you can't compel them to do their job if they don't have all of the information needed to do that job, which is why cases are dismissed if they're filed too early.
  7. There's a guide on this forum (top of the page) which is great. Personally, for my immigrant visa, I found the official step by step guide really clear and useful too - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition.html Good luck.
  8. From the court. And it can still take a year or two, but the visa be granted. Again, it's not the decision that takes this long, it's the background checks that have to be completed to get to the point where they can actually make a decision. They just need time to go through the process.
  9. You still need proof of being together in person, which it doesn't sound as though you have yet. An exemption isn't likely to be relevant but I wondered if you were trying for that. I would wait until you've met again and have photos/proof, then file. Good luck.
  10. That's your family, not you. What did you for question 53 on your I-129f? Did you say no and request an exemption?
  11. If it's IB1 then are you adjusting? That's a more complex route so I'm not surprised it's taking longer. As Boiler said, you can file anytime you want. It is just likely to be a waste of money if you file too early and get it dismissed.
  12. What proof do you have that you were together though? Passport stamps only prove that you were in the same country, not that you were meeting in person.
  13. There is no 'normal' time for AP, it often takes much longer than 6 months. It's not just them making a decision in that time, it's them gathering background information and that often relies on third parties i.e. if they're doing background checks in other countries, those other countries can take months to respond. Do you mean IR1 or EB1?
  14. Unfortunately that just comes under the 'original or certified copy version of all civil documents submitted to NVC'. When we sent our passports via DX (interview waiver) they were delivered within 5 working days, and then we had them back with the visas about a week later. So there's still a chance of you getting the visa before Christmas, although you do need to allow a bit more time for the paperwork to be checked. Fingers crossed for you and good luck.
  15. Please share your timeline too - put full details in about the visa etc, to help others. It's not an unreasonable delay yet, far too early for WOM.
  16. This thread is 2.5 years old, when F2A was current - that's no longer the case so any responses above won't necessarily be applicable now. Please start a new thread with your own situation and questions, and somebody will help.
  17. Agree with the above, filing a WOM this early is likely to get the case dismissed. I’d wait until a year at least.
  18. That’s the opposite of what you originally said. @OldUser is spot on.
  19. Driving without insurance and a valid inspection certificate. No mention of speeding, but that wouldn’t show up on the police cert anyway. Seems the OP received a 6 month driving ban and fines.
  20. They ARE criminal offenses! As above - a traffic offence would be a speeding ticket, or driving with a busted taillight. Driving without insurance is criminal, not civil.
  21. OK, so your PD wasn't current until 1st July, you weren't added to the line for an interview until then. Interview sometime in 2026 sometime as a rough guess? Good luck.
  22. What is your Priority Date? (this is why it's helpful to have your timeline filled in!). And yes, your police cert will still be valid, you'll need to take the original to the interview.
  23. As above, did you have a question? Please fill in your timeline to help other EB applicants and so we can help you better too, thanks.
