  1. It won't harm or delay your applications in any way. But there's no way an expedite would be granted for your husband or other children, as the only one that is affected the court order is the child it pertains to. I don't think an expedite would be granted for her either, for the reasons given by others above, but you need to bear in mind that there's a small chance that her expedite would be granted and the others refused. Which potentially puts you in a situation you say wouldn't work. Out of interest, what timeframe did you give the court? You are aware that there's still quite a way to go once the I-130's are approved, the timescale for those is only part of it?
  2. That's what I've been told by two different immigration lawyers. They said that was always the case, whether it still is post pandemic though they weren't sure, but so far most of the cases I've seen do fit that. Although some months London do seem to send out two lots of IL's, maybe when they have too many people to do in one go? I'll let you know on 27th or 28th! Very much hoping we get our IL at the end of the month.
  3. Brilliant! Congrats and thanks for the update. That confirms my understanding - cut off date of 5th of the month, all cases received before that scheduled for interviews and IL’s sent at end of the month. I wasn’t sure if that was just for spousal applicants though, it’s great to know it’s for EB cases as well. So hopefully end of this month for us then, and an interview date in June or July. Congrats again and good luck with the move.
  4. The first link you've given doesn't mention anything about timeframes for interviews? But it will very much depend on your consulate, some you'll get an interview date within 3 months of being DQ'ed, other still have lengthy backlogs from Covid and you can wait a year or even two.
  5. Your profile says you applied for IR-1/CR-1? So you wouldn't have done an I-129F, you'd have done an I-130, which can be filed online.
  6. Which consulate will your parents be interviewing at? That will have a big impact on their overall time as the wait for an interview is much longer at some consulates. None will be a few days, the quickest is maybe about 3 months from being Documentarily Qualified to an interview, but some consulates still have huge Covid backlogs and have a wait of a couple of years to get an interview.
  7. 14 days from when it was received at NVC as a rough guide. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html
  8. As above, you should have heard quite a while ago. Current case creation timeline is about 2 weeks, so you should have had a Welcome Letter by now. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html
  9. This thread is 5 years old - pre-Covid backlog times. Best to only stick to recent threads as things may have changed considerably since then.
  10. Have a search around the forum and you'll see loads of other people are getting this message at the moment - seems to be a glitch.
  11. The last, and no worries! Good luck, hope you don't have too long to wait.
  12. No email until you're DQ'ed (or they need more info/a missing document).
  13. We did pay for priority though, otherwise it would have been the standard timing. 😊
  14. Oh fabulous - congrats! And thanks for updating, that's really useful. Seems like the end of the month for IL's from London so fingers crossed we'll be in the May batch. Thanks again. 😊
  15. If you checked just once a day that's quite restrained I think. 😂 I'm about a month behind you (DQ'ed 21st April), although EB1 rather than spousal, so it'll be interesting to see when we get our IL. Possibly in the next batch, but there are so few EB applicants that it's hard to know what the wait is like. Looks like you're the only one on VJ to get an IL in this batch which has surprised me. Unless @Hetanshi got one too and hasn't had a chance to update?
  16. Yep, current, so you're in the queue for an interview. How long it will take will depend on your consulate and the backlog, some have really lengthy queues and people can wait two years for an interview, others you'll get an interview within 6 weeks or so. Good luck!
  17. Not a problem all, it's only that my tiny middle aged brain can't cope with it otherwise. 😂
  18. I haven't updated it, but I've just changed @Damiores dates around - he's used the UK format whereas the rest of us have used the US one, so makes it a bit hard to compare! Hope that was ok.
  19. You won't get an IL until your PD is current unfortunately. The B dates mean that NVC will work on your case if your PD is before that date (which yours is), even though there's no immigrant visa available to you, as they know your PD will become current in the not too distant future. But then once DQ'ed, your case won't progress any further until your PD is before the date in table A and a visa is available. This explains it better than I can - https://www.boundless.com/immigration-resources/how-to-read-the-visa-bulletin/ Good luck, hope you don't have too long to wait.
  20. And just to add, your proof of address must be less than 12 months old, so you're fine to use the ones you've got. I've got the form and notes I can email you if it helps - just ping me a message with your email address. I did mine about a month ago, whilst the website was down, and it was just as efficient despite that. We had our certs back in 4 working days. Good luck.
  21. All taxpayers are forced to pay for things that they may not want to support or will ever use themselves, that's just the nature of taxes. Each of us will have very different ideas of what we'll want our taxes to pay for, and we'll all have different priorities. I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on what should be a priority for us personally. 😊
  22. I did, housed and financially supported 2 Ukrainian families fleeing war until they could get on their feet, find jobs and find houses. Which they did, and they're now making an amazing difference to their new communities. I'm in the fortunate position to be able to have done that, which I know not everybody is. But I do think every safe, secure and wealthy country has a responsibility to help those in desperate need personally.
  23. Really tough and definitely a huge downside of moving to another country. If she does have the funds for EB-5, it might be worth looking at that? I've no idea if it would take 5 years though, but worth investigating just in case. Good luck.
