    Yes you can include paper version in the packet. When did you try changing your address online? I changed mine in late August 2023. I could do it without online account and got instant confirmation after submitting it.

    Did the immigrant ever have any vaccinations in their life? If yes, it would be challenging. Waiver is possible, I don't believe you can get it before you're asked for it. Also, make sure you're aware the waiver may take some time

    Interesting, could you please elaborate? Did this work for online check in? I was always worried putting expiration date as +4 years. Did your husband have to show GC and extension letter to airline staff? Were they OK with discrepancy between expiration date on GC and what was entered online for expiration date?

    Yes. Read more here: TL;DR airline won't know your 10 year GC was approved. As long as you have expired GC and valid extension letter, you're fine. CBP will admit you because you're LPR.

    Just start the process online and get an appointment. Or show up without the appointment. Here's the accepted documentation https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/driver-licenses-identification-cards/real-id/real-id-checklist/ You have it: "Valid Permanent Resident Card with Notice of Action (I-797 C) or Approval Notice (I-797)" Make sure to bring two papers proving your address, such as bank statements or utility bills showing the name and address.

    You mean K-1? Those are special types of visas to come to the US and get married. They have some drawbacks too: inabiltity to travel outside of the US and inability to work for a long period of time. CR-1 visa is superior in this sense: once an immigrant enters, they can instantly work and don't have issues travelling internationally. If I could I'd install a monument with this sentence written in gold.

    If you're outside of the US, there's no other way, other than consular processing. If you have exceptional circumstances, you could explore Direct Consular Filing (DCF), though Canadians can clarify if it's a viable option. Coming to the US on a non-immigrant visa with intent to adjust status is immigration fraud, which can make the immigrant inadmissible. Also, AOS tends to be slow and painful for the immigrant, as they cannot leave the US or work for extended periods of time. Again, this is not an option if you're outside of the US now.

    Either there's something in your background that needs to be checker further or there's somebody with the same name who got you flagged. There's no set timeline, could be few weeks or months. What visa are you seeking?

    No. If you can apply for SSN independently of GC, this may be faster than waiting for one via GC.

    Don't volunteer information during the interview. If interviewer asks whether you filed all taxes, say yes. They may / may not want to see the docs. If they ask, I'm pretty sure you'd have a copy of what you filed for 2018 + other years' tax return transcripts? The worst case, you'd get an RFE and have to get it within 90 days.

    When I did mine, my appointment notice was 1 page and had nothing to be filled. I think USCIS streamlined the process.

    Logistically, and to avoid any issues with missing information or DS-3025 expiration, it may be easier to get a full medical exam in the US again. The doctor will issue all missing vaccines and ensure all the paperwork is up to date and up to USCIS standard.

    When you submit AOS packet (I hope you're filing I-130 together with other forms?) you can put all forms at the front all the evidence at the back. You don't need to repeat evidence. At least this is how my AOS was filed and got approved.

    Couldn't agree more, especially since I-751 instructions direct to send as much evidence as possible.
