  1. Depends on Hong Kong's laws
  2. - Birth certificates of any children in the marriage - Chils adoption documentation if any - Joint tax return transcripts from IRS - Joint lease or mortgage - Loaned in both names - Joint credit card statements - Statements from joint checking, savings, brokerage accounts - Utility bills for gas, water, electrical etc showing both names - Car title in both names, car insurance in both names - Home insurance, renters insurance, medical insurance in both names - Copies of airline boarding passes / reservations in both bames - Membership for things like Costco, National Park cards etc in both names - Copies of Driver Licences or State IDs showing matching address - Wills mentioning the spouse - 401k plans listing the spouse as a beneficiary - Family plans for Amazon, Netflix, cellular showing both names - Affidavits from friends, family, landlords showing they know you as a married couple for a while - Copies of receipts for gifts to each other for anniversaries, New Year etc - USPS Informed Delivery emails showing letters to both. Any copies of letters addressed to both of you - Photos of both of you with family, friends, colleagues. They should be titled, dated and annotated (location, event, who is on photo etc). Should include photos from different periods of time through your marriage - Screenshots of you listing your spouse as emergency contact at work and other places and other way round - Many more stuff you can think of... All the evidence should be complete, e.g submit full documents and not just first page. Evidence should cover period from start of marriage to date of filing.
  3. According to processing times, it takes about 20 months for 80% of cases: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ Also, based on your filing date: "The earliest you can submit questions is July 29, 2024. Please do not contact us before this date." If you could afford Writ Of Mandamus ($402 for self filing or ~$5000 with a laywer) you could try that route.
  4. Yes Anywhere in the world. Doesn't have to be her country. As long as you have proof of being in the same city / town. E.g. flights, hotel reservation etc.
  5. Why didn't you follow a consistent pattern, e.g. all monthly or all quarterly? Hard to tell, but it's possible that USCIS would want to see where your wife paychecks go.
  6. Hi, has anybody got California mDL accepted anywhere? Recently, California launched this pilot for digital mobile Driver License: https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/ca-dmv-wallet/ You can supposedly use it for TSA Precheck at SFO and LAX: United Airlines passengers with the DMV Wallet app and TSA PreCheck® can use the mDL for an easy identity check at SFO Terminal 3 and LAX Terminal 7
  7. While I understand the benefit of including the busiest airport, I can also understand CBP's concern of including it at this stage. The app is new, may have security issues or bugs. In a larger volume of travellers, it's easier to miss one bad actor misusing this new technology and skipping proper check. Or if 300 people start having an issue and complain to CBP they cannot use the app... Once the app shows it's effective, it'll get rolled out everywhere.
  8. Great news, thank you for sharing @top_secret I'm a GE member and really enjoy it for the most part. Not sure I'd use their app though. The benefit is not so small compared to granting access to my phone. The permissions are not too bad (no access to files, phone book etc). I just don't understand why it needs "full network access".
  9. Always assume it's a combo. It may or may not be a combo interview, but you have to be prepared. Did you include I-751 receipt in your N-400 submission?
  10. I wouldn't travel with a print out. You're supposed to travel with original watermarked letter. Worat case airline won't allow you to board a plane to the US.
  11. @LuckyJones please report how your journey back goes. That would be a great data point.
  12. If you got 2 year GC through marriage, you'll need this evidence for ROC. And if you apply for N-400 under 3 year rule, you may also need it. So it's worth keeping stuff saved.
  13. N-400 under 3 year rule requires its own set of bonafide marriage evidence. Not just evidence you submitted for AOS or ROC. It's normal, they're not picking on you. Many go through the same process and have to prove marriage during N-400. That's just how it works. Interview can happen at any stage. Evidence can be asked before the interview, during interview or after interview. That's normal. Some people actually get denied citizenship after interview. I'm sure it's not your case, just saying passing the interview does not mean getting N-400 approved. Also, it's not the last step. Last step is the oath. Some people had their oath cancelled and asked for more evidence. This also happens sometimes. Everything is a fair game until you hold certificate of citizenship in hand. Love the spirit. You got it. Good luck!
  14. Some job descriptions are just copy / paste by lazy recruiters. Make sure they know you're overseas and will work from there. Some companies may not support this (because it requires effort from their end).
  15. Do companies hiring even know you're based outside of the US? "Remote in the US" and "Remote outside of the US" are different things. First requires visa and work authorization, second doesn't
  16. Well, this usually applies for jobs while you live in the US working remotely or go to office. It doesn't apply to a foreign person living overseas.
  17. Drums.... You don't need a US visa to work for a US company remotely from a different country! Opening a bank account in the US may require social security number (SSN) which you may not have. I'm pretty sure a US based company can pay you to a bank account in your country (if it's not sanctioned etc).
  18. What about joint lease / mortgage? What about statements from joint checking or savings accounts? Trip reservations? Otherwise looks good at first glance.
  19. Yes, it sounds like your I-751 got approved and they'll produce your GC soon. I had approval recently, so I know how surreal this feels after a long wait 😃
  20. 100% agree with this statement. I do not agree with this approach. Later in immigration, OP may be asked about addresses and dates at those addresses. So will they have to tell untruth to match submitted forms? 3 days is nothing in the grand scheme of things. I'd move first and then file with the new address on forms.
