I’m going to send in everything for the green card in a couple weeks. I was just wondering if for proof of residence showing both our names if the first page is fine or if I should send the whole lease agreement to USCIS?

Paging @Supernatural who I think went through nearly an identical situation, albeit with far less time knowing his significant other in Ukraine. I believe the conclusion was that you could file the I-485 (Adjustment of Status) after coming on U4U and marrying. I'm not sure, but I think he was pursuing a K-1 at the time the war started. The following is the thread:
Best of luck to you, stay safe wherever you are.
Yeah pretty similar process I’m going through. Since I’m in college and don’t make a ton of money I had my mom sponsor my now wife from Ukraine. After the U4U was approved I went and met her in Poland and brought her back with me. We got married 3 months after she got here. I haven’t sent the i485 yet because I’m waiting for the i693 medical exam still. Should be in about 4 weeks and then I can submit all the paperwork.

Ok so it sounds like I can file the i130/285/765/131/864 all at the same time. I don’t plan on cutting corners I was just curious how it all worked. We already started filling out some of them.
We already got her a ssn and a drivers permit a while ago so it almost seems like she shouldn’t have been able to get those without filing all these forms first somehow haha.
Thanks everyone. -
So I should file the i130 and i485 now together and when should I do the i765/i131/i864 ?
Also are the i765/i131/i864 even required? Like the i131 is the Application for Travel Document, but she’s already here so what’s the point? And the i765 is the Application for Employment Authorization, but if we are fine living with just my wages is it necessary? And the i864 is Afidavit or Support, but wasn’t that already done when we did the Uniting for Ukraine forms?
Sorry for the maybe dumb questions, but I just want to be sure if what I’m doing. Thanks! -
Also now I see you can file the I-130 online. Should I do that or should I send it physically in the mail with the I-485 at the same time?

When filling out the I-130 and I-485 should I use my wife’s original last name she came here with or with her new last name (mine). The only document we have with her new last name is the marriage certificate. So should I go and update her social security card and ID card first? And her passport form Ukraine will have her original last name too of course. I’m really overthinking this now and got myself confused. Basically I’m wondering what else all needs to be updated with her new last name before I file these forms with uscis and which last name to use for her on the forms. Thanks!

My fiancé came here to the USA through the Uniting for Ukraine program. Now that we are married can we file i-485 to adjust her status to permanent resident(green card)? Or do we need to file some more things too? I’m a U.S. citizen too by the way. Thanks

My fiancé took a bus out of Ukraine and into Poland and I flew over there to get her. We spent a couple weeks in Poland having fun and yesterday we made it home. Customs in Chicago was pretty simple and they took her fingerprints and that’s about it. Now we are figuring out the rest. Next week we have a appointment scheduled to get her health insurance and benefits.

Ok it looks like it should be fine since all the flights are under one ticket and the baggage won’t need to be re checked and stuff. Thanks

Will it be ok to fly from Poland to London to US with just the travel authorization? I’m not sure if it’s a big deal to transition through London

Before my beneficiary leaves Ukraine should they get doctor records printed or anything like that required?

My beneficiary received the email telling them to create an uscis account to confirm their biographic information. Is it ok if I use one of my own emails to create an account for them, or does it need to be their email that they received the notice from? Since they are in Ukraine I figured if I used their email and phone it will be a total hassle to sign in since you always need the code from your phone to get logged in.
Ok never mind. got it figured out and submitted )

I got no emails though if that's what you're wondering. I'll see if my beneficiary did tomorrow.

Receipt or approved?
The status on USCIS says case approved. I got a receipt today also on the USCIS site and in that document, it says they have confirmed my I-134 as sufficient and they will notify my beneficiary instructions to seek parole.

Mine got confirmed today : )
It was filed April 28th
-
I got the receipt in the mail saying they got the application, but there is no decision or anything on it really. It is form i-797c, Notice of Action
-
I did it on the 27th and my case status also says it was received and a receipt notice was sent. But there's nothing yet.
Anyone know how long this program should take? I know it's hard to guess I'm just not patient enough haha. I saw something online about 60-120 days, but it didn't look credible.

Ok it submitted. I'll update when I hear back. Thanks for answering all my questions everyone.

And would my dad be considered a dependent of my mom?
edit: I looked it up and it says yes

Ok it's almost done. At the end you can put notes about things so should there be a note on this box that says something like friend, son's best friend, or son's girlfriend? Saying not specified seems a bit suspicious or impersonal I feel like.
Can now wife from Uniting for Ukraine file i-485
in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus
