( assuming after interview plus a couple months for attorney prep). You can update the DS-260 on your own, but if you have an attorney, make sure you let them know.

In this case , the Consulate know the father cannot overcome alien smuggling charge ( since child adjusted in the US)..and it simply did not add other inadmissibility grounds such as fraud/ misrepresentation.
