  1. Thanks for the reply! Yes, that's what happened when he changed his actual address when we moved. So it looks like we had a cache issue, he went and looked at the website on mobile and can see his address was changed successfully with the green check box. I am guessing we didn't get an email because it was just the mailing address being changed. Thank you!
  2. Hi everyone! Hoping someone can help us out. So my husband submitted an AR-11 last Friday to update his mailing address only since we purchased a PO Box. (yes we did submit our current address as well even though it is the same) When it was submitted, it said "Due to maintenance, it may take up to two days for the address change to process...." something like this. So we waited a few days and submitted it again last night, as it had been over two business days. It does not even show up in his "View My Submissions" tab. he did not even get the email acknowledging the submission. Is the online AR-11 under work and not working for other people? Any suggestions on what we should do? Should we wait a week and try again if nothing comes through? We do not have a pending case, but we will be applying for ROC next month. Thank you!
  3. Yes, I understand this. I will just include my current physical address as the "new physical address" even though it is not new, just in case. I am only updating my "mailing" address. Thank you thank you!
  4. Hi! If anyone could offer advice on this, that would be helpful! My husband, LPR, and I recently got a P.O. Box for our new mailing address. He updated the form AR-11 online and I need to update the form i-865. Our physical address is staying the same, but do I just re-enter it on the I-865 even though they have my other I-865 on file with my current address and this physcial address is not "new" OR do I leave "new physical address" in part 1 blank and only enter my new mailing address? Right now I have the form filled out with both sections for physical and mailing address with correct dates of start for those addresses. Any advice appreciated! Thank you!
  5. the notice got lost in the mail so I had to call them and get them to email me the receipt number that they received the i-865. It was a mess. Alright I will update the i-865 as well once I purchase the PO Box.
  6. I am just worried they are going to think I haven't updated my address or something weird because I would be sending it again. Has there been issues with this? I updated my address right after we moved. Should I send a copy of the original i-865 with the new i-865?
  7. I need to update my address again? We already have our current address updated via i-865 and the AR-11. I would simply change my husband's (CR) mailing address in the AR-11 and on the application. I am not moving, my physical address is the same as him in the app and i-865 and AR-11, so there is no need for me to update the i-865, nor would I be receiving mail as I am the USC. I have to update the PO Box address for myself as well?
  8. Hi everyone! My husband and I are gathering everything we need to submit his I-751 application this summer. We currently live in an apartment and we will probably not be living here for the next 4 years as we want to buy a house. Obviously, processing times are horrible right now, so we want to get a PO Box for our mailing address for all his communications moving forward to ensure there aren't any issues (so many horror stories online of cards getting lost) I can't find a straight answer on many topics here. Can you use a PO Box for the mailing address for the i-751 application? Do we also update his AR-11 with the mailing address and just repeat the physical address in the "previous physical address" and "new physical address" sections? Thank you for any guidance and help!
  9. Well we did submit the AR-11 and I did submit my i865. Even though the USCIS agent said it was fine when I called, we did already submit all of those required items right after moving. and I know it’s not “funny” it got lost in the mail. I’m trying to make light of the situation, but in a case where something like this is lost - what should one do? Does anyone know if you can ask for the receipt of confirmation from the i865 to be sent again?
  10. Hi everyone, so it seems my address confirmation from USCIS got lost in the mail. It was on my informed delivery last Saturday but never came. The post office said they didn't have it either. I called USCIS and they said they still have my old address but it can take up to 60 days to show in their system. They also said I didn’t really need to do it since we don’t have an active case currently. My husbands address is updated since he is the CR-1 green card holder (we checked with Ask Emma and a live agent) but since we don’t have an actually “active case” it wasn’t necessary for me to send in an address update as a US citizen as it will be updated when we file his ROC next year. but anyways, has anyone else had their i865 confirmation from USCIS get lost in the mail? The funny thing is it was coming to my new address but it got lost anyways 😂
  11. Yes! I will keep checking for it then. Thank you everyone for your reassurance! It’s just nerve wracking trying to make sure you file everything right when you move
  12. Yes I did! I mailed in the form the week after we moved and received confirmation via tracking it was delivered. Haven’t gotten confirmation from USCIS yet, but I’m sure it will be a few weeks. thank you!
  13. Hi everyone, My husband and I moved 15 days ago and we updated his address on his USCIS profile the day after we moved. However, we do not have any pending cases currently since his ROC won’t be until next year. When we updated it, the portal with “View my Submissions” showed “request changed” with a green check mark and a confirmation number but he did not receive a confirmation email. Also, I mailed my I-865 in about two weeks ago, so way before my 30 day deadline as sponsor. So it’s been 15 days and when I chat with Emma she always prompted us to wait. Since it’s been that long, I chatted with her and then used the egov site to file an electronic AR-11 (I guess it’s a different system but the same as the one on MyUSCIS) for my husband for his new address. He then got a confirmation email immediately. Will this be a problem since we did file on his My USCIS the day after we moved but then we had to file using the other service after 15 days since it didn’t seem to work on the online profile? Will this cause issues for us? Or are we covered because we originally did everything before the 10 days for him and the 30 days for me as the sponsor? thank you for any help!
  14. It all went ok otherwise? Thank you for your response!
  15. We have him flying directly into the US, but that is helpful information. I can only see online that work visas might be affected and applications of that nature at the airport? It’s confusing.
  16. Hi everyone! My husband is set to enter the US next week on his CR-1 visa. Will the government shut down affect him entering the US? I know CBP is essential and USCIS is funded by fees so they will still be working. But will they not properly process his visa entry at the airport due to the government shut down or deny him entry because of the shut down? Did anyone enter on a IR-1/CR-1 during the last shut down and can provide some insight? Thank you!
  17. Congratulations! My husband and I have our interview in a few months! Did they let you enter the interview with your Korean spouse? I plan to go to Korea for the interview. What types of questions did they ask? thank you!
