More good news for WAC filer's in 21xxx range. Quite a lot of approvals this morning already!

Christmas came early and I woke up a couple of days ago to a "Your new card is being produced" message! Probably the best Christmas present ever! You guys are next!!! Good luck to all!

Most of us are here for a citizenship. Like, as a WAC filer I would have already happily filed my N-400 about a month ago if I knew there's nothing to look forward to for another 6 to 12 months. The only reason I'm postponing is because there's this maybe-lucky-event (carrot tease) when I could get my green card before filing within the next two months which would MAYBE make things a little easier with N-400. But just like in any other field office there're maybes everywhere. I could have filed my N400 and gotten my interview at local office in 3 months, got approved for both I-751 and N-400 right away and happily sailed into sunset. Or I could have gotten an officer who'd mess things up for me or WAC could have lost my I-751 case, or I could be waiting for another 6 months when my case is approved because WAC keeps increasing processing times. What's the point of being mean to each other if we're in the same boat full of maybes?

That’s incredibly selfish of you. So just because my case is slow at LIN, I’m going to sue WAC and mess up people that have their cases there, just because. Come on

I mean, those of us in this specific thread have been waiting slightly over a year. No one should have gone into this thinking it would take less than that amount of time. The people that get approved in less than a year are very few and far between, regardless of service center.

I don't see the point of getting caught up in frustrations with ROC when we've still got a good bit of time left on our extension letters. Any of us could get approved at any moment in the coming months. Things can also change at a particular service center at any time - what is fast becomes slow and vice versa. SRC used to be considered one of the fastest service centers when I filed, and now it is mid at best and seems to be languishing. WAC has seemingly sped up. Things will continue to fluctuate and change as time goes on.

Here’s a copy-paste list with additional evidence we brought to my RoC interview:
Here's a list of additional documents we brought with us to the interview:
Advance medical directive for both spouses, showing each other as healthcare agents Emergency contact information from work for both Salary warrant recipient designation form, in case I die and there's any outstanding salary still left to pay Employer's health benefit elections for 2022, showing each other as beneficiaries
Tax return transcript for tax year 2019, MFJ, due to Covid-related delays we had not received the 2019 transcript when filing for RoC Tax return transcript for tax year 2020, MFJ, 2020 taxes obviously couldn't be filed before sending the RoC package in November 2020 Copy of my state ID and my wife's driver's license, showing same residential address (had I not had this document, officer wanted to copy our IDs at the interview anyway) Rental increase notice issued by the management company, showing the names of both spouses in the same address Joint checking account transactions, covering the period after sending the RoC Copies of four-five rental checks, paid from our joint checking account after sending the RoC Renters’ insurance, showing both spouses as beneficiaries Both spouses mentioned as designated beneficiaries for each other's savings accounts Life insurance coverage through my job, not sent with the original RoC package

Someone else will likely be able to post a link to change in USCIS policy in 2018 or something, meaning virtually all of us who came here on a CR-1 (married to a US Citizen for less than two years on the day you were admitted to the US as a permanent resident) will face an interview. Some I-751 cases are routed to service centers that can recommend the interview to be waived (mostly people who already got an AOS interview), but CR-1s mostly go to MSC = interview scheduling.

And I don’t like the thought of people prying into my private matters, ie. asking how you met, sending financial records etc., but this is US immigration so it is what it is.

Having to go the interview is frustrating, but if you have a genuine marriage, you’ve got nothing to worry about. I think someone here had the stats that 95% of all I-751 cases are approved.

And even if someone isn’t happy with their initial evidence I-751, they can always present more evidence at the interview.

If you filed jointly, just remember to take your US citizen spouse with you to the interview 😅

Hi guys! Really appreciate for the response. I’ve been a bit busy lately. Anyway, I just wanna keep you update about my case in case someone needs help. My 90 days open window is 11/13. —As I said I downloaded and signed the 2 weeks early.
—I wrote the exact date 11/13 when I signed the form.
—My husband sent the package by mistake on 11/12. One day early the 90 days open window
    — The package is delivered and signed on 11/15
    — I received the text notification on 11/18
    — I got the mail today 11/22 that my green card is extended for 24 months.
Again thanks for the reply and i wish you all the best of luck.

It means that the package was accepted. Why do you think they might reject it?

I think you will be okay. The date of delivery and the date on the actual I-751 form is what matters.

In the October 2021 I-751 filers spreadsheet one person sent their I-751 at 91 days out.  It was delivered within the lawful window and an NOA1 with an extension was returned. The dates on the NOA1 were all within the 90 day window.

    stop overthinking things.

I would not do it.  There is always a chance it may get there a day earlier.  Downside risk is too much if it gets there early - they receive your application, realize it was sent too early, reject the application and then send it back to you- this could take a month.  In the bigger picture, one or two days will not make much of a difference.

However you decide to proceed, make sure your application and cover letter is dated NO earlier than 90 days window.

No please don't do this! There are posts here on this site of those getting there whole packets returned because it got there too early! There is no rush. You have 90 days! Our window opens today and we are not sending anything until after Thanksgiving.
