Joseph Underwood reacted to smilingstone in London medical, COVID booster required?
You either need a full set of vaccines (whether it's one, two or three doses) within the stated timeframe OR if you received your vaccine(s) before this timeframe, you need to evidence a booster.

Joseph Underwood reacted to a-jay13 in London medical, COVID booster required?
Yes it's the same thing. I had my medical and they told me I needed a covid booster. I went to a private pharmacy and told them, paid for it, they gave me a certificate thing which I then emailed to the medical visa place. Make sure you get evidence of the shot so you can take it to the medical with you 😊

The Hep B vaccine is a 3 dose series, but if you get the first dose, the medical center will be able to waive the requirement for the remaining two due to the time constraint. My partner got his first dose of the Hep B vaccine with his GP because we saw another review that mentioned that vaccine isn't always available at the clinic and we didn't want any hold ups. Same with the Covid booster.

Hey sorry a little late to reply to this, but I just visited my fiancee between the ds-160 and the interview. Security only asked me two questions and they were where did we meet and what was my job. It had been 6 months since the last visit though and and it was just a two week visit for her birthday. Hope you get it sorted. I was really anxious about it too thinking I'd be getting asked a lot of questions. I guess it can depend on the border control officer though.

Most people are NOT refused entry, especially coming from the UK.

OP, this person's answer is not accurate and to be honest, it's a bit over dramatic.

Joseph Underwood reacted to AndiB in London embassy, how long after the embassy receives the petition do I have to schedule interview?
they can renew your noa2 up to a yr, your medical sets visa validity (6months) so don't do that too early
  8. Thanks
Joseph Underwood reacted to AndiB in London embassy, rescheduling interview
agree with appleblossom, I think they actually sort medical within 5 days but it just depends how fast embassy processes it. 9 days will probably actually be enough time but if not, you'll just go into 'reused' status until they have it and process it. It's not a denial, just what they do while they wait for missing documents.

not sure if theres problems with rescheduling for a 3rd time.
but this is the link for their contact form from the embassy website
    https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/iv-contact_form/
this is your best bet than trying to find a direct email address
  10. Thanks
Joseph Underwood reacted to appleblossom in London embassy, rescheduling interview
No, they won't deny you, your case will just be held until they are received. But if it's 9 days between the two I'd think it highly unlikely they won't have them by then anyway.

    Best of luck.

I'm going through the same thing at the minute. Brief history of visiting my GP for low mood in 2018. I did have a round of therapy and I was on anti-depressants for 2 months (also didn't finish the course). There is nothing on my Patient Summary at all in reference to it. I do want to disclose but I am worried that if I do, they're going to request more information that I just simply do not have. I do have a letter from my GP and I am also booked in to see a psychologist for an additional report on my MH. This has been eating me alive with stress!

Have you had your medical yet? How did it go?
  12. Thanks
Joseph Underwood reacted to Tesco in Patient care summary, all ongoing
Did you download the SCR from Patient Access? Once you’ve asked GP reception they will give you access within a day or two. You’ll then have the ability to read, download, save and print consultation notes. Some past issues that are long gone do show as current. A sore throat from 10 years ago that is listing as current isn't obviously going to be a problem. Your mental health diagnosis letter will though. It would be prudent to print along with current status.

Yes, that should not be an issue. You schedule interview before it expire. You are good to go.

yes, our petition expired on February 7th, I had my medical on the 1st February and I still booked my interview for March 13th. I sent a message about it and they replied with a really short email saying it was ok. (I explained it was because ACRO was 2 months late!)

I was back before then, I had hoped for an earlier interview and things at that time dragged on. Not that I think it makes any difference.

They should ask you during the interview for any updated information on travel between submission of DS260/Ds160 and interview date.
You can inform them then. If they don’t ask you, tell them.

Should be no issue, I had a trip to the US on ESTA the week before my K-1 interview. That one was for work, but getting back to the interview was a very compelling reason for me to leave on time, CBP officer didn't even ask about it.

The more "face time" between you and her, the better.  It adds to the bona fide nature of the relationship.

My philosophy is it's better safe than sorry. It's much easier to just being forthcoming and not have to worry about withholding any information, saying the right things, etc. Not only is it easier, but more importantly, we're legally obligated to give truthful responses.

My fiance is in the same situation. Struggled with depression during a bad time in his life, was diagnosed by a GP, but never pursued medication/etc, has never self-harmed, does not want to harm others, etc. He's requested a letter from his GP stating he's not a threat to himself or others and it has all been a very easy process, I think it cost him 30 pounds.

You can look for a h2a sponsor wherever you want if there are sponsored jobs available, bear in mind they are short term visas (6 months maximum I think?) so not an option if you are looking for a more permanent visa to stay on
